WGN has been showing episodes of "The Beverly Hillbillies" featuring Fairchild the Bear. This is the most unusual of Elly May's critters. He drinks Granny's moonshine by the gallon. And he has a major crush on Mr. Drysdale. Also, in several scenes, it's pretty obvious that Fairchild is really a man in a bear suit.

What I'd like to know is how did the Clampets keep all those wild animals without getting in trouble by Beverely Hills and how did they get them?
