Default Wally's dream girl

I really like June but I thought she went overboard in inviting Ginny to the family picnic without asking Wally first. I also felt that it was very unrealistic that Wally chose his words so carefully when anyone could see he was really dying to blow up at his mother but at the same time maybe he would have if Ward wasn't there to clobber him when he hurt his mothers feelings....who knows? I just think the writers shouldn't make the boys so predictable when June interferes, after all they were normal teenagers!

I agree... There's something about June in this episode that kinda annoys me. I thought for sure Wally would be a little angry at his mother for inviting her and making him feel embarrassed!!

That crossed my mind, You could tell the whole time Wally was pissed. I think he should have kept the whole thing to himself. Anyways you could tell that Wally was VERY cautious of how he talked to his mom about it. Making sure he didn't blow up on her or anything cause we all know Ward would butcher the boy's asses if they back talked his wife once

I thought that in some respects, Ginny was chastised unfairly by Ward, June, and Wally, because she had some physical problems she had no control over. I mean was it her fault that she was allergic to chicken and apparently had some sort of skin problem resulting in her not being able to stay in the sun? To me, she seemed like an attractive and pleasant person, yet nobody even gave her a chance. She was treated like she was "damaged goods" or something.

I kind of see your point that maybe some people would look at it that way Boomer but I actually know someone like Ginny. I have a cousin by marriage who I love dearly but I swear she has "everything" wrong with her. If I or someone else tells her about an illness or an injury she has something worse. I guess Ginny reminded me of her. I think you call these type of people Hypocondriacs? I hope I spelled it right. But it's a term used for people that has something wrong with them all the time and most of the time it's all in their head or it's a tactic to get attention. While I care for my cousin very much I can't be around her often without feeling very tired. To make a long story short I never really thought about them treating her like"damaged goods". Just as I posted I couldn't understand why the writers were always so predictable when it came to the boys' reactions to June's constant interfering...they could have made them "normal teenagers".

I have, Duke, and have been living with her for almost twenty years! Actually she is allergic to poultry of all kinds. In fact her cousin is also allergic to poultry!

In fact, we often joke about how I could commit the perfect crime----just a little chicken broth put in those potatoes and, well, you know the rest of the story.
