Default Kobe Bryant a Knick?

There is a story in the New York Post about Kobe Bryant, if he is acquited (that's a big if), that he wants to join the Knicks, and that Phil Jackson wants Allien "wusy" Houstan, because he fits perfectly in the triangle offense. For this deal to happen, the Knicks have to give the Lakers Kurt Thomas and take a crappy player back.

I have the same feelings about this, the way I felt about the Yankees getting A-Rod. If you can do it, great, it is an upgrade, but it is not your main need. The Yankees need a left handed starter, the Knicks need low post scorer. Kurt Thomas is the centerpiece of my plan for the Knicks to do a sign and trade, and get the guy they need and I want badly, Rasheed Wallace. Isiah, get Rasheed Wallace to the Knicks.

Maybe if the Knicks had Kobe and Marburry, then Wallace would take the mid level exeption to play with them. If the Lakers are stupid enough to take Houstan for Kobe, (I am down on Houstan, he is a wuse, the Knicks need him and won't play because his knees hurt, if you can walk you can play) do it before they come to their scenses, as long as it does not interfere with them getting Wallace. Kobe could be icing on the cake with Wallace, or a b-plan if they don't get Wallace, but they need low post scorer.

If I had to choice between Wallace or Bryant coming to the Knicks, I take Wallace.

Wallace over Kobe? Interesting choice.

I am not saying Rasheed is a better player than Kobe. The Knicks need Rasheed Wallace more than they need Kobe Bryant. If the Knicks had Wallace and Marbury, I am willing to put up with Houstan.

But this is all speculation.

The Knicks won't get either, I'm almost certain on that.

I agree Kobe Bryant is not going to be a Knick. But they are going to get Wallace. He is in the bag, and if it comes to this, David Stern will make it happen.

But I think we can agree to disagree, I think the Knicks are going to get Wallace, you don't, we will see what happens this summer.

David Stern can't do anything. Rasheed is not in the bag. Money talks

We will see this summer. But Stern is the most powerful commisinor of the four major sports. He is no Bud Selig.

Let's not argue, lets see what happens this summer.

I agree. Why would Detroit give Rasheed up? They have the best defense in the league with him. Pistons will sign him for sure.

Kobe isn't going anywhere. He's going to be a Laker for the rest of his career--he'll resign.

Knicks have a better chance in getting Etan Thomas and Kenny Thomas rather than Rasheed Wallace and Kobe Bryant

The Knick's fans (Not players, coaches, etc.) would like Kobe, wouldn't they?

I think everyone would, but that rumor is so far fetched. Keep in mind that is coming from the NY Post. Not exactly the most reliable of sources.

I doubt is going to happen also. But I agree, I don't care about his personal problems, I make the trade.

I think Kobe is not going back to the Lakers. He is probably either going to end up with the Suns, Spurs, or Clippers. Or in jail.

And in defense of the Post, this story originated from an L.A. newspaper. The Post was the first paper to pick up on that story from the L.A. newspaper.

I wasn't sure at first, but I think Kobe's innocent.
