I was going through an old shoe box and I found a list of my favorite songs that I had written down in 1965 when I was 15.
Of course The Beatles were my top 2! No surprise there! 1. Yesterday- The Beatles 2. Help!- The Beatles 3. Hang On Sloopy- The McCoys 4. Let's Hang On- The Four Seasons 5.1 2 3 - Len Berry 6. Roses And Rainbows- Danny Hutton(who later became one of Three Dog Night) 8. Don't Think Twice It's Alright- The Wonder Who(whom I think was really The Four Seasons) 9. Car-a-lin- The Strangeloves(I really don't remember this song! But it was a favorite acccording to the list!) 10. I See The Light- The Five Americans It's fun going through all that old stuff. Just thought I would share it!

That's something I used to do when I was younger too, make weekly lists of my favorite songs. When I look back at my old lists now, I also have some songs that I don't even remember. That's interesting that you the idea to make lists way, way, way back in 1965.

I used to do that, way back in 1990... compared to way way way back in 1965, j/k
I remember some of the crap I used to list on the chart, I remember MC Hammer's U Cant Touch This was #1 for 5 weeks, and Nelson spent several weeks at #1 with Love And Affection too. |

I guess it goes without saying Prince always dominated my lists. No matter what other music was out at the time, I'd always have Prince in my listening rotation. Late '92 into early '93, the song "7" by Prince was number one on my list for thirteen consecutive weeks, I loved that song. The song that knocked it out of the top spot: "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston.
