Out of the 3 sitcoms I mentioned, if you are a male is there one of them you like or none of them? I like all 3.

I love all three of them. I grew up watching L&S on NAN, then on TVLand, and now I'm watching it on Lifetime. "Maude" I started watching that when NAN aired a special month of it, and I watch everytime TVLand shows it for special marathons. "Alice".....boy I was HUUUUUUUGE fan of that show. I started watching it on TNN in the summer of 1999. It aired everyday at 5PM and 5:30PM (central) and I watched it all the time. I don't see neither L&S or "Alice" as feminine shows because L&S relied on physical comedy, and Alice was your average workplace sitcom with quirky employees and the mean boss. "Maude" on the otherhand, was made during the heart of the womens' rights movement, so a lot of Maude's views were on womens' rights, and other things (Norman Lear's specialty). But overall, I love them all. I really wish someone would pick up "Alice" and air it at a decent slot. Letting 202 episodes lay around gathering dust isn't nice...

I was not a big fan of Laverne and Shirley.
I loved Maude. Bea Arthur was a scream to watch. Her delivery was classic. Her interactions with Florida was classic and the way Florida dealt with her. I applaud Bea Arthur of knowing when to pull the plug on her shows and not wanting to resurrect them by way of reunions. Alice was a great show to watch. I did not like at first and it took me two seasons to like the show. I had such a huge crush on Linda Lavin. I actually wanted to name my daughter Linda because of Linda Lavin. It was unfortunate that her conflicts with Polly Holliday and Diane Ladd drove them away from the show. After Flo left the show did survive well with Belle but after Belle the fun of the show was never the same. I did not enjoy Jolene. Plus another thing happened to Alice, as well as Laverne and Shirley, that it stayed on too long and it got old and tired. I personally enjoy the episodes when Linda Lavin got to sing. She have a lovely voice and play piano well. |

Laverne and Shirley is pretty good. Maude is ok. I am not very familiar with Alice. None are shows that are make it a point to watch. They really just do not entertain me a lot. But I like Laverne and Shirley the best.

I'm male and I watched Laverne and Shirley and Maude. You don't have to be just female to enjoy those shows.

I already know that Brian. The purpose of the post was to see what other males besides me look at these sitcoms. It was clearly stated in my post that I like all three shows. |

I like Alice.
I don't really care for Maude, though. And I like L&S, but I think that's probably because it is set in Milwaukee, and I lived there for a time. Is that a stupid reason to like a show or what?!
