Default Shows you'd only buy certain seasons of on DVD??

What shows would you buy on DVD.... but only a certain amount of seasons??

For example....
if The Andy Griffith Show ever comes out, Id buy the first 5 seasons.... but once Barney leaves so do I.

I'd go along with "All In The Family", once Mike and Gloria leave for California I'd probably wouldn't be as interested in episodes/seasons after that. The 90's "Flipper" I'd only buy the first season, with Jessica Alba. They brought the show back for a second season but made a complete overhaul of the cast and setting, so I stopped watching after that. Power Rangers is an interesting case, they've changed casts with each new setting and I've liked some seasons more than others. "A Different World" is a show I think got better after the Denise character left, so if I were to not buy any particular season of that show, it would be the first season, although I'd probably buy it anyway for completist reasons and to help encourage the release of season sets that follow.

I probably will never buy Season 1 of the Simpsons because those episodes stink.

I only bought Season 2 of The Dick Van Dyke Show and don't plan on buying anymore.

I'd buy every season of some series on DVD. There are always a few episodes of a season I like in a season of a show that is mediocre. Plus it would feel great having every episode of the series.

I plan to buy the first five seasons of The Andy Griffith Show, but not the later three. Andy w/out Barney is like Lucy w/out Ethel.

Diff'rent Strokes - the first three or four seasons. I don't care for the episodes when the kids were older. It kind of ruined the show, IMO.

Three's Company. I will might only buy the ones with Chrissy Snow in them. I prefer those over the Cindy/Terri ones. However, I do like Mr. Furley .... so we'll see.

Diff'rent Strokes - seasons 1-6 are concrete. But I suppose if seasons 7 and 8 are as cheap as season 1, I might get them if I'm in a good mood, but they definately are not "must have" IMO.

Happy Days - seasons 1 and 2 ONLY. The show was much better when it centered around Richie while Fonzie was just a supporting player, and the "feel" of the show was much more authentic 50's than when it was taped before a studio audience and the feel became more 70's instead of 50's.

I don't have a large Tv DVD collection, but I would probably buy every season.

As Brian said, every show has some mediocre eps during a season, but I don't think I would ever skip a season of a favorite show.

Add Route 66 (no season 4), Chico and the Man (nothing after Chico left), and Welcome Back, Kotter (no last season).
