I got to watch this movie today with my daughter and I have to say that I wasnt impressed. The storyline was pretty good but Amanda's acting wasn't all that. The 'bad characters' never had a chance to shine and show off how bad they could really be; all the bad they could do was lock her in a room (for God's sakes)Amanda had to 'change' to please the royalty and to me that's
; they accept me like I am or else. Since she was so outspoken since the beggining why she didn't told her dad and all those other snotty people to s*rew it. Well, that's enough venting and ranting. Have anyone watched 'The Princess Diaries" is it about the same o r better?

I've seen this movie on tv like 6 times in the last week. The first time it was great!

It was alright. I was pretty distracted because halfway through it I realized it's a remake of a much better movie, The Reluctant Debutante, that had Rex Harrison and Sandra Dee in it. Honestly people, see that one instead. The acting is far superior and really the only good thing about the remake was Colin Firth

I liked What a Girl Wants, but I like The Princess Diaries even better. Completely different movies, though.
