Default What show got worse to watch?

The Cosby Show - The last two seasons

Alice - During the Jolene years

One Day at A Time - The final season

All In the Family - After the Stivic's left (Even though there were a few enjoyable episodes afterwards)

Archie Bunker's Place

Too Close for Comfort - Too much Monroe and that baby killed the show

Family Matters - Too much Urkel. I don't blame Jo Marie Payton for quitting. She should had done it a long time ago.

Three Company's - During the Suzanne Somers' years. Chrissy went from being an airhead to overbearingly dumb

Gimme A Break - After Dolph Sweet died the heart of the show died. The plug should had been pulled after he passed away. Trying to do the show with Nell and the girls were too farfetched.

Petticoat Junction - After Bea Benaderet passed away the heart of the show was long gone. The character of Uncle Joe was not meant to be a lead character. He was excellent to play off Kate but after Bea was gone the feel of the show was gone.

The Carol Burnett Show - After Harvey Korman left in the final season Carol did not have a strong leading man to help her carry the show. Dick Van Dyke was not the one.

The Jeffersons - When George became softened he became boring and the show suffered from the change of character. The change happened virtually overnight.

Happy Days - Just about most of the original cast was gone in the later seasons. By that time, the show didn't feel like the same anymore.

Three's Company - Same as Happy Days.

Laverne & Shirley - The last season had lost one of it's main leading characters: Shirley Feeney. The show by that time lost its touch and flavor. It was an okay season but it never came close to the earlier seasons of the show.

Another note on Family Matters - The show quickly became two high-tech speciall effects/fantasy. Urkel's inventions just got out of hand.

Family Matters, Roseanne, All in the Family.

Family Matters-Too many different Urkels and wacky inventions. The reason the show was created was lost.

Roseanne-9th season was horrible, especially the ones without John Goodman in them.

All in the Family-last season was awful and boring.

I agree about Coach. The last two seasons were not as good as the previous seasons. The only redeeming quality about the final season was that Shelley Fabares got rid of that godawful frizzy hair and straighten it. She looked more appealing with long straight hair.

Here's Lucy - Lucille Ball wore her welcome out in the last two years. The Lucy act just got plain tired and it was time for it to be put to rest.

Family Ties - The fifth and sixth seasons were unwatchable because it was The Michael J. Fox show. The Alex plots became repetitious and ridiclous. When they added Andy in there it just killed the show. The final season was great. You saw more of Meredith in the episodes and featured.

Bewitched - The final season was painful to watch. The show definitely ran its course to a point of recycling past episodes. Look at Elizabeth Montgomery and she looks like she does not want to be there during that season. Given that her and William Asher, her husband, were having problems and she was ready to move on. That's too bad that such a classic and unique show such as Bewitched did not know when to pull the plug.

Viewers wanted more Michael and Alex. I agree that they should have used Meredith more, but the show was still great. I don't think the plots are ridiculous at all. Having Andy wasn't a great thing, but I think he worked out better than a lot of other kid additions on other shows (Growing Pains, Step by Step, etc.)

there's a good reaso Liz Montgomery looked like she didn't want to be there in the final season of "Bewitched"-she didn't. She didn't want to do an 8th season.

"Happy Days"-in the 2nd season, when they added that ANNOYING live audience and it became "The Fonzie show"
"MASH"-the final 3 seasons, after Radar was gone.
"The Andy Griffith show"-black & white, Barney Fife. That says it all.
"Leave it to Beaver"-when Beaver became a teenager.
"Laverne & Shirley"-twice, when they moved to California, then in the final season, when Shirley left.
"Mad about You"-when they added a baby to the cast.
"McHales Navy"-when the locale was changed to Italy.
