Kim Fields- Intimate Portrait

Okay, guys, I saw part of it tonight and here are my thoughts. First, Kim Fields has had quite a life! My goodness! I mean, really. All this time, I just thought the cast of Living Single hated her. Nope.
Who knew she was going through so much pain. I am very amazed that
she's still standing after all those punches! I forgive her now for
using all of her life lines on one question when she was on
Millionaire.

Here's my other thing, after watching this, I am even more convinced
there is more to the FOL E! True Hollywood story! I have always been
convinced that there was stuff that they weren't telling us. And my
boss over at E! produced the FOL E! True Hollywood story and even she
said that when she interviewed them, they were very careful with
their anwsers. That they were very hard to interview because they
revealed nothing. The only stuff they revealed was the well known
stuff. All that stuff that happened to Kim? Especially the depression
thing and her not leaving her house for 2yrs. and the car accident
and her divorce? Even though that was all post FOL, how could that
not have affected the other cast members? And Lisa Whelchel, being
the devout Christain she is, wouldn't she have said something to Kim
about her marriage or divorce? Or not?

Also, their set was next door to Different Strokes--something had to
happen. I'm not saying they DID anything. But that they probably had
an opportunity to hang out with them or speak to them.

Another thing, remember how Michael J. Fox had a stalker? Well, I
remember reading somewhere that the stalker got pissed when Michael
and Nancy broke up and the stalker blamed Tracy Pollan for breaking
them up when in actuality, Tracy had nothing to do with it. How could
that not have affected Nancy? Or made any of the other cast members
nervous and check over their shoulders?

And as much as I think Lisa is cool, there is something there that
just makes me stop and go, "hmmmm." I can't put my finger on it Well,
sometimes she says things that make me stop and think. Like she said
once she thought about being an actor again and then didn't. I find
it hard to believe that there were no opportunities for her. Nancy
and Kim found them and Lisa is just as, if not more, talented than
Nancy and Kim

I just have a feeling there might be more to it. Probably 95% of her
leaving acting is because she wanted to raise her kids. But I have a
feeling that 5% is something else. Something more than too much sex
on TV.

Sorry if this offends anyone. It just bugs me. Something about it.
Just stuff and the fact that Mindy Cohn has pretty much disappeared.
Why only Lisa is married? And wouldn't Lisa Whelchel, as a devout
Christain, wouldn't she have looked down on Kim's marriage and
divorce?

And if Lisa was so gung ho about staying out of the spotlight, why
does she keep doing things to put herself in the spotlight? Books,
acting, etc? Basically, she keeps saying she likes the fact that she
a mom and wife and it's all so wonderful, but she keeps doing things
that put her in the center. She likes the attention! She loves
acting! It's okay for her to say that. She's seems very sweet, but
that there's a lot there.

I just have so many questions. And if Lisa Whelchel and Julie
Pierarski were close during the Mickey Mouse Club days, how did the
fact that Julie was fired and Lisa was asked to stay affect their
friendship? How could it not?

Does anyone else have any questions about this? Anything else that
bugs you?

That's deep.Usually, I would be like Tootie and try to find out the answers, but this time, it's different.
ok, number one, yes I want to know the answers to these questions also, but is it really any of our business? I mean if you and your friend had a big fight because he or she got a job and you didn't(or vice versa) then it's not like people would be all in-your-face about it.
ok, number two, a part of me wants to say who cares if it's any of our business just ask.So, you know, I think the best way to find the answers is to ask.
number three, there is ONE thing that bugs me.Lisa Whelchel says she wouldn't let her children go into show business because it's a lose lose situation, but look at her, she came out of show business on top. I mena she didn't do drugs or commit suicide because the pressures were too much, and niether did any of the other girls from FOL.Why wouldn't she give Haven(I say Haven because it is Haven who wants to be an actress)the chance, because she even says the best word to describe her FOL years is FUN! So, why would she take all that "FUN" away from Haven?Just a thought.

i think u r right, there is more to the fol than we know....
i agree wholeheartedly about lisa, she just wants to b a christian good mom, but u know she wouldn't have that house or get the priviledges that she is getting now. pastors don't make that much money, she sure wouldn't have a house with a pool, go on this round the country trip, which u know someone else is picking up the tab.

i think its interesting that they all group together still to this day. its almost like the friends crowd, they group together when people from the outside start asking questions.....

u could also tell on intimate portrait of nancy, that there seemed to b alot more undercover for a long time....also, now with the reunion, this is more exposure for them, and watch, i still think there could b a good chance of nancy showing up, maybe cause she is employed by disney and i feel that somehow they will have her show up......

I thought that the show was informative..She's really been blessed and had a rough road as well but she's been tough i like that her mom has instilled in her that toughness and determination...So big ups to Kim Fields always and 4ever a FAN!
