A recent article (dated March 18, 2004) on the 1985 disappearance of Dottie Caylor caught my attention. The title is "Questions keep search alive." So, needless to say, the case remains unsolved.
The article is at the following link: http://www.contracostatimes.com/mld/cctimes/8215688.htm For those of you who remember the case, it was featured in a 1987 Unsolved Mysteries special (just one year before the show became a regular weekly series). Dottie Caylor stayed in the house a lot due to agoraphobia (fear of open spaces), but she was on the verge of overcoming that fear. Her husband, Jule Caylor, was (and probably still is) believed to have been involved. |

THAT'S THE ONE I WAS ALWAYS ASKING ABOUT! Thanks for the information. I myself think the husband didn't look too broken up in the segment.

Thank you, Kane! I've been wondering about that case. I'm glad to have more information about it.

What an interesting article, and there are other sections by Dottie's picture that you can click on for other articles. Thanks for sharing this with us. I strongly believe something tragic happened to Dottie, giving there has been no sign of her since 1985, almost twenty years ago. Her case needs to be solved to end the agony Dottie's family is going through.

I was amazed in this mystery as to how cold Jule, Dottie's husband, looked in regards to the death of his wife. He seemed totally unfazed and his life had gone on quite happily without her. I wouldn't be surprised if he was involved with her disappearance.

Not sure if anyone goes back and checks, but there are two updates to this article. Don't get too excited because it hasn't been solved yet. Just some interesting things about what the Police are searching and what Jule is doing with his free time now.
