Default Someone explain...

...Oujia boards to me. I've never "played" one, or seen it be "played". What is the object, what happens, just tell me everything. (*cough* even how to, uh, pronounce the word.. yeah...)

I think it has something to do with calling the spirit world. you ask it question and a the little triangle moves to spell ot the answers. creepy things have happened when people used these boards. I'd never touch one.

Oh, pffbllltt! It just sounds like the same concept used when asking a question into those 8-balls, shaking it, and getting an answer. What's the big deal? It's just random answers, right?

Right just random answers, but the 8-balls are a little less weird. the ouija board is thought to contact the spirit world.

I used one in High School. As an adult now I would never touch one. We prounounced it (Don't know if it's right ) WEE - jah. 8 balls I dont mind, the answers are random. It freaks me out that we asked the Ouija Board stuff and got real answers...stuff people didn't know, or shouldn't know.

We were at a team camp and asked it if anything had happened in the camp house we were in. The board replied that a murder had taken place in the house in the early 1900's and that the entire family had been killed. The 4 of us playing were all from the same small town (4 hours away) and had no idea of anything where we were. We researched in when we came home (libraries, old newspaper archives, there was no internet back then etc) and found out that a mother had gone mad and murdered her husband and 4 children in 1922. I was part of that group playing with that board and I had no knowledge of this family or the place we were in.

I would never touch it again. I dont know how much the "spirit" world is invovled, but I do believe in that stuff and that whole experience freaked me out. It gives me shivers thinking about it now and that was 16 years ago.

The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.

My brothers and I tried one but it never worked for us. I guess you really have to concentrate while using it. We always pronounced it, Wee Gee.

Those things are so scary. I might have used one once or twice, but after I just got too scared. I don't know if they're real or not, because you think they'd have to be after you hear stories like what Nanny Fine said, but still...I don't know. And I say it Wee-gee, too.

Personally, I never thought they worked. Penn And Teller did a story debunking them on one of thier recent episodes of thier showtime series.

I used one once, as a child, it was either at Thanksgiving, or Christmas, with my family. I thought nothing of it, then. Now, however, I've heard so many negative things about it, that I doubt I'd mess with one, again.

I saw a movie where one of the characters said that Ouija means yes yes (oui in French and ja in German). Not that that's how they named it, but I thought it was funny.

I don't care for Ouija boards since I'm a chicken!

Hmm, pretty interesting stuff. I believe there is some supernatural demonic activity in ther world, maybe that's what a Ouja board is .
