Hello. I'm a visitor from another forum. I have a question that I'm sure will be easy for you.
Did Fred, Lamont, Grady, Bubba, Rollo, et al. live in Watts or did they live in El Segundo? Thank you. I'll hang up now and listen to your response. |

In at least one episode, Fred mentions his home address as 9214 S. Central Ave.. In least one other episode, Fred mentions his home address as 9114 S. Central Ave.. Either way, it's the Watts neighborhood of south central L.A.. Fred mentions El Segundo in several episodes as he seems infatuated with, if not fixated on the place. For any baseball buffs, El Segundo was or still is the home town of the great Baltimore Oriole Pitcher Scott McGregor. Remember, Fred was Watts Businessman of the year for 1975 and mentioned Watts on numerous occasions throughout the shows run.

Thanks. That would explain my confusion.
It's been about 18 years since I've seen the show. Though I used to live on Lamont street. |
