In the episode "Return of Grandma" Jesse had a different Mom than he did in Season 2, 3 and 4. Why did they all of sudden change the actress of Jesse's Mom?

Well believe it or not Danny also had 2 mothers. The first one seemed younger but they were both named Claire.

all 3 had different mothers, in the one episode where the house was a pig stye, and Danny's mother sad you need me here to help out and he said we are fine and she said your not I will invite Joey's and Jesse's mother to and danny said you don't have to do that. All 3 mothers show up and Danny and the guys send them to a movie when they get back the house is clean and they said okay you don't need us just then a girl comes in the door and says can you pay me in cash instead the banks are closed.

Jesse's mother was kind of chubby with dark hair and is italian

Joey's mom had blonde hair like him

and Danny's mother also look sort of like Joey's mom but alot younger then Joey's mom

Hmm. Maybe since they started establishing Jesse's Greek heritage in the seond season, they didn't think it would look right for him to have an Italian mother. Just a thought. That could have been a possible reason for the recast. I'm not to sure about the national background of Yvonne Wilder. Besides, Danny's mother was recast too. I guess Doris Robits was just more widely known then the other lady so they decided to bring her on.

I also read somewhere that they were trying to save money by not keeping the same actresses on the show. But I'm not sure about that. Wouldn't it cost more to replace an actor or actress than it would to keep them.

Also, I've noticed Joey's mother hasn't appeared in another episode besides "The Return of Grandma." I wonder who would have played his mother if she had appeared later on.

Anyway, just thought I'd post a few comments on this subject.
