Default OHH DEAR GOD! (as Frasier would say)....

Lilith MAY return in May!!

an Entertainment Tonight article....

Backstage as the Final Curtain Falls on 'Frasier'

January 20, 2004
The official announcement came down last week: "Frasier" is ending. This May, KELSEY GRAMMER, DAVID HYDE PIERCE, JOHN MAHONY, JANE LEEVES and PERI GILPIN will say "ta-ta" to Seattle when "Frasier" wraps its 11th season on NBC, May 13. The series returns to Thursday night that week for a one-hour, bang-up finale.

On tonight's ET, we drop by the set of the critically acclaimed show to find out how the cast and crew are hanging in.

"The finite number of shows is a little perilous as we see it," Kelsey tells ET. "We all imagine all kinds of things. I think most of us are just throwing ourselves into the work and forgetting that the last show is pretty close."

If that sounds like denial, you would be right, but denial can be a useful tool. Obviously, the cast has experienced some emotional moments, such as when BEBE NEUWIRTH guest-starred for maybe the last time as Frasier's ex-wife Lilith (Kelsey won't say if she returns for the finale), but then they get on with the job.

"I think we all agree it was the right thing to do," adds David. "I think the show has a focus and a clarity this year that comes from its being the last season. That gives it a shape for all of us. So that allows us to be really sad that it is ending, but really happy that we continue to be proud of it."

As far as the Niles and Daphne storyline goes, they're going to have a baby. Since the major glitch in that relationship was the unrequited love Niles felt for Daphne that was resolved in year seven, the show winds down with the writers sending the couple off in wedded bliss.

Then there is Frasier's journey. Kelsey says, "From the beginning of the year, we geared the season toward it being the final year. So we have been able to expand a little bit upon the stories and Frasier is beginning to build anxiety, which will take it to a climactic moment where he has to do something. That is where we want it to end. What that will be is what we are still working on."

and ANOTHER article....

'Frasier' Prepares for Its Grand Finale

March 11, 2004
There are less than two weeks left until "Frasier" wraps production forever, so ET went behind the scenes to talk to KELSEY GRAMMER, DAVID HYDE PIERCE and the rest of the gang to learn how they are holding up.

"My emotions creep up on me once in a while," Grammer admits. "I think it is more laudable to get through it, do it well and rise to the occasion. Then we can collapse all we want to and fall apart on the night of the show as long as we finish shooting, because we've got a week after that to recover."

The entire cast and crew has been invited for a weeklong vacation in Hawaii courtesy of the actors. "We're going to go away together all of us and we can commiserate then and look forward to the future," Grammer adds. "We really enjoy one another. Together it has been a great experience and a collaborative experience, so taking a little time out to thank everybody and celebrate their contributions is a joy."

The series about pompous psychiatrist, Dr. Frasier Crane, host of a Seattle radio advice show, spun off the character from the equally successful, "Cheers," which also ran 11 years. "Frasier" has earned a record total of 31 Emmys, including three for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Grammer) and two for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Pierce). In addition, the series has garnered the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award; three People's Choice Awards for Favorite Television Comedy, Favorite New Television Comedy Series and Best Actor (Grammer); a Humanitas Prize; Golden Globes for Best Musical or Comedy Series and Best Actor (Grammer), and the TV Guide Award as Favorite Comedy Series, among others.

"I think I can say without being conceited that the show will have a long legacy because it has been on so long," says Pierce. "If I am on a plane, or flipping channels and catch one of the early episodes, they so hold up. It is a kind of writing, humor and characters that people will be able to come back to long after we are gone."

While none of the cast would reveal the exact ending, it will be upbeat -- with a wedding and a birth -- and send the characters off to live happily ever after in TV syndication.

and it also says....
Kelsey says as the series ends, Frasier is still the one who doesn't fit.

hopefully this means that he doesnt end up with Laura Linney's character (named Charlotte)

Well we know the wedding will be Ronee and Martin and the birth will be Niles and Daphne's baby. Do you think Kelsey realizes how desperate some people are to see the finale end with Frasier and Lilith together?
