Default WINGS' Most Confusing Character

Yesterday Krista started a thread about different "Wings" characters (specifically Joe and Brian) and how they evolved and changed over the course of the series.

There are other characters who changed as well....Antonio, of course Casey, and others to varying degrees....

But there is ONE charcter who I've never been quite able to quite figure out. Her personality seems to change from episode to episode within a single season...and sometimes it even changes within a SINGLE episode!

The character who I'm talking about is Faye.

Sometimes Faye comes across as a ditzy, scatterbrained lady, and other times she has this wise, all-knowing "dumb like a fox" quality about her...

Sometimes she comes across as this sweet and kind elderly lady, and OTHER times she can be a really miserable and nasty witch!

Faye is one "Wings" character that you just can't pinpoint and say "She's THIS kind of a person".

Does anyone else here feel the same way about her?

I hadn't thought about it before, but you're right about Fay. She is a hard one to "pin down" -- but, it all seems to fit together somehow for her.

Actually I'm kind of thinking it's pretty realistic. I mean, sometimes I'm a total ditz. Sometimes I'm pretty smart (if I don't say so myself ) I'm usually kind and very patient with people... but I also have a terrible temper.

I think Fay wants to be a kind, thoughtful woman, and she really is deep down... but other times something sets her off and she turns into a witch.

Lowell is similar in that he's stupid & wise at the same time... but I think there are at least 4 different Fays.

Love,

Wing<><

I sort of agree. Fay seems to be a bit unstabe. haha.
No, I know what you mean. Sometimes she's all sweet, and kinda ditzy, and then she gets the way she does about Christmas parties. lol. remember in two different Christmas episodes, she turned into a monster about her Christmas party... I've never really thought it to be out of character for Fay though, because actually, it is kind of realistic to be one way most of the time, but then you just have certain things that set you off...

and I agree with Wingshock about Lowell too. It's kind of similar, because he comes off as being kind of dumb, when actually he's really smart. Like he sometimes says that he watched PBS, and he always knows random trivia about things that no one else knows. He's a smart guy, but he has no social skills! That's what it is! If you notice, that's when he seems kind of dim- when he's in social situations, and he does't know how to react, so he just says things to try to chime in on the converdation. Like if all of the other characters are sitting around talking about something, it's like he wants to get in on the conversation too, so he chimes in with a bizarre story about his cousin Beevo, which may or may not have anything to do with the current conversation. lol. So then you're like, "woa, this guy is weird. he has no idea what's going on."

I think Fay is pretty realistic. I know I can go from being sweet and happy to miserable and grouchy at times. Stupid hormones!
