There's two on right now. On one hand, I very much dislike this person for purposely only setting out two items in circulation so that he gets high bids. On the other hand, this is truly a one of a kind item. This answers the question of who the other actor was, and this is basically an episode that was never aired. I wish I could afford this... Maybe make some kind of combination bid with other people. |

Oh man. This is rare.
Tip: Like the last few minutes make your bid fast before the bidding expires, so the other auctioners will not have time to bid. I suggest like at the 3 minute mark. |

Yeah, I'd try. I just wish I could get a bunch of people together to chip in a little bit and then have one person receive the original DVD and then dub a copy for everyone else. I can easily pick up a DVD recorder and do that, but that would take the trust of the other people inovled, and the ability of people to pay the person buying the disk.

Are ya'll sure this is real? Is there any evidence there was an unaired pilot? I would be very cautious about Ebay.

Well, now that I know the actors name, I searched around on Google and found that apparently, there was an article (about Mary-Kate and Ashley) written in some language (can't tell what it is though, looks Scandanavian) about Full House. I found a translated version that said this:
This is the sitcom in which it all begun. Mary-Kate and Ashley were only a few months old when they started acting in this series from 1987 to 1995. The plot of the series was simple, but good. After his wife died sports reporter Danny Tanner (Bob Saget - Who replaced the originally chosen John Posey. Although Posey did act in a pilot episode, his scenes were never aired as they got all replaced by Saget's scenes) had the task to raise his three daughters, DJ (Candace Cameron), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle (this part was shared by Ashley and Mary-Kate). He got help of his friend Joey (Dave Coulier), who's more child than adult, and of his half-Greek brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos). As the years past in the sitcom Jesse got married to Rebecca Donaldson (Lori Loughlin). They got children of themselves (TWINS!) Nicky and Alex (Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit), who were born on Michelle's fifth birthday. Mary-Kate and Ashley shared the part of Michelle, so they were rarely together on the screen. There are, however, a few exceptions. In one episode Jesse had a nightmare, he thought he couldn't handle three children, and it got worse in his dreams as there were suddenly two Michelles. Amy, who runs the Unofficial John Stamos website that you might have seen, also said that the pilot episode was reshot, though she didn't know who the original actor was. It looks to me that if this is true, the unaired pilot episode is probably very similar to the aired one. They certainly wouldn't touch any scenes with Danny Tanner in them, and whatever scenes Danny Tanner was in, they reshot. If this is a complete pilot, I wonder if it had some kind of introduction in it? Maybe it was a different one? Or maybe none at all. |

Well, that would confirm the name. Though I don't remember that "Full House" mention on the IMDB trivia page when I checked this morning, but it was probably there.
Now just the question of whether the pilot is real or not. |

Why was John Posey fired? Or did they just like Bob better?

John Posey?
Why did he had John Posey in the unaired pilot? I've never seen the unaired pilot before Bob Saget took over. It reminds me of the "Let's Make a Deal" unaired pilot episode from 1962.

I don't know what it means either, Gaby111.
So it's probably not a dumb question. |

It's not a dumb question. There were so many terms in TV I didn't know up until a couple of years ago.
![]() A "pilot" is basically a "test run" or "introduction" episode as a start-off giving off an idea of what a show's premise is all about. For instance, for Full House, it showed Jesse and Joey's intro into the Tanner household and even DJ and Stephanie's personalities come alive where DJ is smart and even conning (the money bargaining) and Stephanie is younger, likes ballerinas and even is "cute". It also shows how the guys handle all the family chores alone (bathing Michelle). ![]() When pilots are usually filmed, they are basically months earlier than they would normally be filmed. For instance, if a show's season debuts in September, filming will normally begin a few weeks prior to that. However, with pilots they are filmed months earlier and are usually the pilot AND a few episodes are aired. Then, I read this somewhere -- so please don't hold me accountable and if anyone else can verify please do so -- the pilot is usually shown to networks and even executives where they have total control of whether or not it suits or can be aired to see if they like it/them. If so, more episodes are then filmed to see if the show survives an entire season. Some shows like Family Matters and Roseanne had their pilot episodes have a different actor for one of their family members. Sal Barone was the first DJ on Roseanne and Valerie something-or-other was the first Judy Winslow in Family Matters. Hope this helps somewhat.
