Default This Is Serious!!!

Today at school we went to computer lab. And the computer lab teacher lets us do whatever we want on the computer if we finish all of our work. Well, after I finished up all my work on the computer, I went to sitcomsonline.com (here) and logged in with my username. Soon we had to go to the next period and I couldn't log out! I kept trying to find a way but I couldn't, and the helper Mrs. Ramsey took me off the computer and logged me off the computer username (mine). Every kid in school has a username and a password for the computer.

So my bottom line is: If someone else gets on the computer I was on, will they be able to post threads and change my profile on my username for sitcoms? I'm really worried! What should I do?? How do I log out of sitcoms at school? I'm not going back to computer lab until Wednesday!

Thanks for your help!

If your still logged in, anyone can, but only on that computer you were on. We were never allowed to get on the internet at my school.

Here's how you do it though: Go to User CP then go to "Edit Options" and the second option "Automatically login when returning to site" click NO. Then exit SitcomsOnline and when you go back to it, you will have to log back in to post and stuff like that.

No, I wouldn't really worry about it. Most likely, nobody at your school even knows what sitcomsonline is so they most likely won't come across the site...and if they do, just ask TJ to take care of it...or lock down your screen-name until you log-out on the other computer. If I were you I just wouldn't worry about it. Just log out when you're on the computer, and most likely nothing will happen.

^ Yea that and plus the other people will need to know your ID and password to get on your computer.

Very true. I seriously doubt anyone would go to Sitcoms Online... AND, they would have to know where to look to even know your logged on, so it's highly unlikely. It's mostly a concern at work(or on a public computer) where people can freely get on a computer and don't have to login to get on and stuff like that.

You can also go to your History folder through this path: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Local Settings\History\ and delete Monday's history next time you log onto the computer. This will clear off the Address bar location's files as well.

Note that drive C:\ is the default primary drive, but maybe it will be different depending if there are multiple partitions on the school's hard drive. Good luck!!

You don't have to do that even... just click History on the toolbar above the address bar, click Monday, and then just delete that one link.

Once you do that... when you type in something that starts with "s", Sitcoms Online won't come up.

This board does have a log out link, it's just very well hidden. Go to the main forum index page, and scroll down to the bottom and look at the right corner.

Well, so far nothing happened yet. And hopefully it won't.
