Default Can someone tell me why Times Square is So EXCITING? I may appear in Times Square

this summer and just wanted to know what is good about it because i don't want to waste my time. So NYC residents or anyone who has been to Times Square tell me what is good about it. I would really appreciate it.

Time Square is probably one of the most popular tourist spots in Manhattan.
Just a few years ago, it was one of the showplaces for the sleazier side of the city, but it has been completely made over with some great stores, like the Virgin Megastore, and Toys R Us, plus plenty of places to eat and lots of hotels.

Times Square & NYC itself is just the best thing. I cant wait to go next month. I just have the greatest time there, and when I leave there is an emptiness in me.

Everytime I see it on TV it's looks like that area is always jumping.

Times Square is an exciting place to be. There are plenty of restaurants and you see people from all over the world taking photos and you look up at all the hippest signs and the neon signs. There always something happening there. There are broadway shows and great stores. If you do decide to go I hope you have fun......

MTV's studios, the David Letterman show are located there. Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall are nearby, along with movie theaters, stores, restaurants, Broadway shows, the New Years ball drop. Like Pitooey said, with the lights and signs, it rivals Vegas. The best time is to go at night, just don't be surprised if you find someone rubbing up against you when you're walking down the street.

I went there last year and was overall, not impressed. Sure, the buildings were cool but everything moved way too fast--and it was not really that exciting. I would rather have a typical day at college than go back there again!

There's so many interesting people there. At least that's why I want to go. There is absolutely nothing here.

I live in Hickville...Times Square is just so pretty...I love the people, the shopping, the food, the whole atmosphere...definitely worth the trip.

Default NOTHING!

It's just a big dirty place. Don't waste your time there. Central Park is much prettier and nicer.

You obviously haven't been there in awhile or don't know what you're talking about. Times Square is far from being dirty. It's a cool place for a tourist to go, but in all honesty, it's not that big of a deal to me. Maybe it's because I'm spoiled because I live in New York and have been there a billion times. It should be fun if it's a new experience for you.
