Default Janet makes a strange statement in the episode -"Some of the Jazz"

In the episode when Janet tries to become a dancer, Terri wanted to stop her from quitting her job at the flowershop and said "Janet I need to talk to you about something" and then Janet says-"sure Terri, what are best friends for" How were they best friends and that was only Terri's 5th episode?-LOL

Guess by then, they knew each other pretty well. The epiosdes don't follow there everyday life. Terri could've lived there for a few weeks/months.

Janet was so eager to quit her job to become a dancer, but she sure didn't want Chrissy quitting her job to sell cosmetics!

That happens sometimes ... You don't want your friends to ruin their career by ending their job for something tends be lamer, but you forget about yourself at times and ignore what others say about keeping your job and not ditching it for another; just as Janet had done with Chrissy, but Chrissy was rather intent on being a cosmetic person.

I suppose that Janet was the same way, and had been blinded by the lies Michael had told her and was so intent on becoming a dancer that she did not want to hear what Jack and Terri had to say, because she knew they would be telling her to keep her current job.

Over a course of a few episodes is probably a little over a month in "real life." Anyway, that's what Three's Company is about, is best friends...so she HAD to be.
