Yea, "Gucci" (pronounced goochy) was an extremely popular brand name in the 80's, particularly among rich folks, for ladies' purses, clothes, etc. I think that "Gucci" has been around for decades before that, and is still around.

(You might already know this. Just posting this for anyone here who doesn't...)
