I'm watching the episode "Lost in Space" on ABC Family from my DVR. That episode turned out to be the series finale of "Family Matters". The last episode in the series was Steve Urkel going into space. How do you like it?

It was okay, but it was not planned to be the last episode. They planned to have one more season, but the network sprung a suprise on them and announced they are canceling the show so they had to hurry up and make a last show. Sould have been better if they had just 1 more seaon, to bad Michelle Tomas wouldn't been in some of the last episodes if they had another season she died December 23, 1998 of stomach cancer.
They should have made the space epsidoe known as the last episode more exciting then just mostly about Steve. Which most episodes in the last season was about Steve after Laura as usual and Mira after Steve, that got a little boring after while see that senero over and over. |

It was OK, but a horrible series finale. CBS sucks for cancelling it without warning, but the way it was written by CBS also sucked.
BTW: The last 7 episodes of the series aired in June and July of 1998 after being on hiatus since the end of January 1998.

I dunno. I find it hard to believe that the cast and producers thought they could go into a 10th year of this series. The ratings in the last year were very low. Actually, I'm surprised CBS picked it up at all and kept it for a full season. It was vrey dissimilar to the more adult oriented shows CBS is known for producing. Of all the networks they cater to the oldest demographic.
