Default Ha Ha Another blooper!

In the episode "The Return Of Leonard Oates" Naomi mentions her 1st Husband as "Tommy Ray" But in the syndicated series about the chili cook-off she says his name is Tommy Lee.

Ok, not meaning to nick pick(but it's fun!) In the episode about Mama visiting Carl at the cemetery she asks him if he remembers the both of them visiting her mothers grave. But didn't Fran live with Grandma Crowley until her death 1 year before she moved in with Mama?(I think that at the time that Vint and the kids moved in Fran had been there about 1 year) I think that this was mentioned in an earlier episode. Well, according to what Mama said in the syndicated series, Carl had been dead for at least 11 years. Anybody remember this?

There is a problem with inconsistency here. Everything you said is correct, which causes the problem. How old would Mama's Mama have to be a year before? Mama was 65, so her Mama would have been atleast 80 something.

It would have been hard for Thelma and Carl to have visited her dead mother's grave since he had been dead longer than she had!

Don't worry about nitpicking, I like to do that too when I notice problems. It is fun!

Another weird thing in "a grave mistake" is that when Mama and Fran are in the guy's office. One part Mama's sweater is purple and then the camera changes and its blue! It might just be the different lighting at that camera angle. But who knows...?

Jeez, I can't those in sitcoms---I'm exactly the opposite, I have to think of ways to make 'em work. Cause it's "real", 'n I can't stand for there to be any real inconsistencies---so I have to think up ways for 'em to make sense! Lol

I understand that too. I like to think of my favorite shows as real too. Some Mama's Family inconsistencies are so bold though, that you just have to notice. However, in their defense, I think most of the problems were as a result of the big changes that took place between NBC and the synidcated eps. Most shows don't have to go through that. You can't really compare the NBC ones and the synidcated ones because they are so different. Even the house and furniture are different.

In the chili cook off episode, Naomi talks about each of her husbans inspiring a new ingredient in her chili and says "Tommy Lee, Leonard, and then George" Who's George? I thought Vint was only her third husband, not fourth.

What she said was "the men in her life". And Rick was the first name she said. I think her 3 husbands are Tommy Lee, Leonard and Vint.
