I was watching Golden Girls at 6 and 6:30 on the 9th and after Golden Girls was over I watched The Nanny which comes on after and I saw Directed by Dorothy Lyman on the first episode and on the second I saw Directed and Produced by Dorothy Lyman. It almost took me by surprise because I had read somewhere that she directed some Nanny episodes. I wish I knew what episode that she guest stars in on The Nanny. I can't remember if she is in one or two episodes and I don't even know how many she actually directed, but it was nice to see her name on something else. She did a good job on them too.

Yes, she did a great job with "The Nanny"!
She appeared in at least 3 episodes (one was last week, she spoke 4 different times in 2 scenes), and there's even a "Mama's Family" joke in one episode where she doesn't appear!

As usual I was watching Golden Girls at 10 and 10:30 and The Nanny came on afterwards at 11 and 11:30 and the first episode, Mr. Sheffield's daughter Maggie was going to be a debutante with a little pushing from Fran. Mr. Sheffield and the butler taught Fran how to talk correctly and dress conservatively and even act properly so she could attend Maggie's party.
Fran came down dressed in a black suit with her hair in a bun and was talking with out the squeak in her voice and one of the women at the party was like in charge or something of the debutantes and it was Dorothy Lyman! I almost didn't recognize her at first but then I saw her smile and heard her talk and I knew it was her and I couldn't believe it! Her hair was short and she was covered up but her voice and smile were the same. She didn't look much different except for her hair and clohtes. Her character was nice and rich. She looked so pretty. The episode after that she directed. It was so cool to see her on there. I can't wait to see her on more episodes. She is so cool and talented that she can play different characters.

I think she actually directed/produced through most of the series, until the last 1 or 2 seasons...and I agree that she did a great job!
