Maybe these shots had something to do with Sanford and Son being higher in the ratings that all these shows.LOL

Okay, examples # 1 and #3 aren't really digs at "Sanford and Son", as the show is not explicitly mentioned by name. Example #2, on the other hand, can be considered an "inside joke'', as both "Chico and The Man" and "Sandford and Son", which preceeded it on Friday nights, were adapted from the U.K. sitcom "Steptoe and Son" (for those of you who are new to this board and didn't already know that!)

Not even example #3? I thought for sure that was a reference to Sanford and Son
