I'm a new visitor here, so if this has already been discussed, my apologies.
I recently read The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown. One evening, I saw a few minutes of a GG episode while preparing dinner, and then sat down to read the book after eating. Late in the book, there is a list of Grand Masters of the Priory of Sion, one of whom was Blance D'Evreaux. This struck me as odd, and I thought of the other names on the show. Rose is of course a symbol mentioned repeatedly in DaVinci Code for the sacred feminine and as a reference to the Holy Grail. Sophia is one of the cryptex passwords in the book, and is an ancient Hebrew feminine word for wisdom. I can't think of any Holy Grail references to Dorothy, but I found this just stunning. Dan Brown says in DaVinci Code that once you know the Grail symbolism, you'll start seeing it everywhere, and damn if he wasn't right. Could this be just chance, or were the writers sending some message about the sacred feminine? Or am I just being over the top? |

That's weird...cool that you noticed it! I've read some of that book and it's really good.
