I have to get a second job. This no child support business has pushed me over the edge and I never know where my next dollar is going to come from. I'd like to do something online (transcripting, typing, etc) so that I could work at home when my daughter is here. She spends all day at school and I work all night so I dont want to be away from her anymore than I have to already. It's just us and I don't really have anyone to rely on and I certainly can't pay a babysitter.
I'm not sure where to look online to find "ads" or whathaveyou for businesses that might need people to do this sort of stuff. Someone from where I currently work suggested it. Does anyone have any suggestions or anything? Thanks. |

I would love to find a job online because it would give me pleasure working with computers and working with my own set of hours!! That would be a dream come true!!

It is extremely hard to find jobs online. All that comes up are scams. most of the legitimate online jobs merely supplement income. I have used a lot paid surveys and emails. Working online sort of requires you to move up various stages to better things. I haven't found any typing or transcripting. Try monster.com to see if they can help you, because the things I mentioned work, but they are things that supplement income. So if you can find something on Monster also use a paid email program or paid surveys to supplement it. I would also learn some HTML and Web Building skills, because webmasters make good money and that is also a good thing to look into.

I would also suggest to put an ad in the paper, you mentioned transcriptioning...my mom also does that and she gets paid about $3 a letter, it adds up. |

My boss knows a lady who transcribes at home, but I'm not sure how she got into it.
If you don't want to pay for an ad in the paper, maybe there's a free website where you can post that you'd be willing to do typing or whatnot. |

But the downside of working for yourself is that you have to pay your own taxes and give your taxes and how much to Uncle Sam!!
That is the only downside to working at home is that if you have your own buisness you have to decide how much you should pay on your taxes!! |
