I have created a rating system for the constroversal episodes. Here's the key:
G: Nothing bad. PG: Maybe the word Hell mentioned. PG-13: The use of drugs or depressing moments R: Suicide, Gore, Violence, or Sex. NC-17: Everyhting you could think of. Here it is: Dope: PG-13 Breaking Point: R Front Page: PG-13 The First Time: R With A Little Help From My Friends: PG-13 Fear Strikes Back: R Dancing As Fast As I Can: PG Let's Party: PG Different Drummer: PG Growing Pains: PG Off The Edge: PG-13 The Affair: PG A New Life: PG ------------------ Andrew Carden |

I don't understand how "Different Drummer", "The Affair" and "A New Life"
is controversial, especially "A New Life". Women get pregnant all the time! If that episode is considered controversial, then so is "The Little Chill", Nancy, from the 1st season, admits that she is pregnant. That's just my opinion though! |

I don't think any episode should be controversal, because each episode teaches a lesson. If it were that bad then it wouldn't have been made in the first place. That's just what I think..

Hey, for those controversal eps--can someone put a summary of each was about? I haven't seen all of them or don't remember them? And quite honestly, I'm too lazy to go back and forth between this board and the ep guide!

personally i don't seen anything wrong with showing the controversial episodes, i mean they were made 15-20 years ago when alot of stuff didn't make it to TV because of content. If it is teaching a lesson it should be ok, It is not like they are showing the girl commiting suicide or showing natelie having sex. because i will tell u right now that wouldn't even make it on TV in todays day and age.

The episode "Dieting" is also controversial because it focuses on the subject of eating disorders and eating disorders are controversial.

Aren't you glad that we have Nick Talk or something like that? That way Nick can address such contoversial topics without airing harmful episodes that might offend someone. I saw a commecial awhile back showing a mother and daughter having a Kodak moment discussing "IT". I had to see it a few more times until I figured "IT" was sex. Nick couldn't say the word sex. Anyways, Nick shouldn't even do their Talk commercials because it's controversial. Why? Because most kids can't openly discuss topics with their parents.

in repliance about The New Life... it isnt' JUST about Blair's mother getting pregnant... she also wants to get an abortion becuase she thinks she is too old to have another child... that is why i think NaN sees it as contraversial.. adn Different Drummer has been aired on NaN several occasions and was NEVER considered contraversial... also, Let's Party and Growing Pains if they were rated in your system they would be PG-13 BECUASE alcohol IS a drug... therefore it woudl be PG-13 and they are not technically contraversial.... they have bene shown on NaN before... ALSO, Nick at Nite likes to skip certain episodes that woudl catch a viewers attention for points when Nick at Nite isn't getting as many viewers as they could be. IF they played that episode constantly then when it WOULD come on viewers woudl say (oh i've seen that already) and turn the channel, they do have our best interest at heart, but the waiting is what makes us keep watchign nick at nite.. so they are using a gimic.... I HOPE i helpd you out with a lot o things!!!
