Ive read that this will be the sixth year that TVLand gives out a "Future Classic" award.

I was just wondering.... what were the shows selected in the past five years?

1999 - Sports Night
2000 - Malcolm in the Middle
2001 -
2002 -
2003 - American Dreams
2004 -

I can't remember if "Bernie Mac" was one or not. But hate most of these "Future Classics." I hate when TV Land has anything to do with current shows. I turn to TV Land to get away from the current programming.

I think Scrubs may have won in either 2001 or 2002.

Scrubs was definatley 20002.

1999- Sports Night
2000- Malcolm in the Middle
2001-
2002- Scrubs
2003- American Dreams
2004- Arrested Development

For some reason I think that whoever is in charge of deciding this didn't actually watch these shows, they just took the critics word for it. I mean, think about it, these are all slightly overrated shows. Personally I only watch MITM. I've never seen Scrubs. I'm not into sports so I don't watch Sports Night. I watch American Dreams occasionally, just not all the time. And I watched Arrested Development once and I couldn't point out the jokes.

I personally think that MITM is the only one on that list that is overrated. SN and AD are both on my Top 5 sitcom list and Scrubs is also up there while American Dreams is good, if only for Snow and Lengies. Sports Night is actually very little about sports. I don't watch sports and I love Sports Night. You don't need to be a sports fan to know that John Rokker is a big honkin' doofus.
