I agree with you on that; you are probably correct on the fact that one of the programming directors is a HUGE fan of this God Awful show...There is nothing amussing about The Cosby Show and the characters...In my opinion is was not of the worst sitcoms of the 1980's...Totally SUCKED....

No I order a different show from the same person that you bought the That's My Mama episodes from; I was just inquiring if this individual was safe to buy from?

Lets see should N@N be called Cosby @ Nite?
A show is only funny for so long before it gets old and I change the channel but no matter what channel I put it on TCS show seems to flooding the TV stations.
I mean how many times are we going to see the same show? Dont they have restrictions on how much air play a show gets?
Really I am suprised they have room for any show that was not produced/starred Cosby. It is really amazing that the schedule is not:
*All double takes
7 - 8:00 - Kids Say (Only ones hosted by Cosby)
8 - 9:00 - Fat Albert
9 -10:00 - I Spy
10- 11:00 - TCS
11 - Mid - Cosby
Mid - 1:00 - A Different World
1 - 2:00 - The Cosby Mysteries
2 - 3:00 - You Bet Your Life (He was the host)
3 - 4:00 - The Bill Cosby Show

Thats so mean.
And Im sure he will be VERY missed when he dies.

I know Ill miss him.... he's my hero.

His show is overplayed.... but to wish for him to die is sickening.
Im sure you'd feel bad if Michael J. Fox died (since I know you like Family Ties).... and you'd probably hate it if "I Love Lucy" fans said nobody will miss him because Family Ties took over I Love Lucy's timeslot.

Im not trying to say that The Cosby Show deserves to be on as much as it does (its a great show.... but COMON).... but Im sick of people bashing it.
Im sick of people bashing other shows altogether.
I used to bash "Friends" all the time.... but Ive gotten over it.
You should too.

Bill Cosby is a great man. How can anyone wish death on him? I am not a fan of TCS, but that doesn't mean I want him to die. You really should chill out. We've been over this before, RATINGS keep a show on the air. That's the reason TCS is on so much. Family Ties didn't pull good ratings, therefore, it was moved to 5am and then taken off the air(on N@N).

It's a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overplayed sitcom, but Bill Cosby the man is fine by me. He is funny, just not every night for three or four hours a day.

This is no joke...

I was watching the All in the Family marathon last night when I saw a TV Land commercial. It explained that all the programmers were busy with the Awards, so they put some stupid programming intern in charge of programming and he is the one that came up with the mini-marathons. He also admitted that he likes the Cosby Show and borrowed it from N@N for a while.

I know this isn't true, but just thought it was funny since we bash TV Land and N@N programmers. Watch out for this commercial when you are watching TV Land!

Oh my god. Are you serious? How pathetic. If they are too lazy to come up with some logical programming, they should just not do the Awards Show, OR, hire extra staff. How pathetic.

Well that is what the commercial said, but I doubt it is 100% serious. HOWEVER I do remember when the last episode of Seinfeld came on that TV Land went off the air and the message on the screen was like: Everyone here is watching Seinfeld.
And I am deadly serious!!

Bill was only funny when communicating with the male characters. Like he interactions with theo, his dad, other gueststars, ELVIN. But for some reason, when he talked to rudy, claire, vanessa, and all the other female characters, he WAS ALWAYS GOOFY.

Well said Jen1989, not all opinions are the same and opinions dont have to be agreed upon to be voiced.

Geez, Brent88, and barwars88, I didn't mean I thought he should drop dead this minute. You two don't mind voicing your opinion, but gosh forbid someone disagree with you, or voice their opinion about something you disagree with.

Why is it that people don't seem to mind giving Family Ties a hard time, but the instant someone says something even remotely negative about TCS, people get SO upset, esp. you barwars88. That's not fair. What is so SPECIAL about TCS?

Did either of you ever stop to think that maybe I wasn't dead serious about wanting him to die?(no pun intended). Lastly, you're not perfect, so get a grip!

PS. Whether or not Bill Cosby is a "great man" is a matter of opinion. I don't think he is, and just because you think he is, doesn't mean everyone will agree with you.
I never said I was perfect.... and I never said people have to share my opinion.

In a thread like this, its perfectly fine for people to complain about TCS.... because thats what this thread is about.

But when you bring Cosby Bashing into threads that really have nothing to do with TCS (like the thread about the Brawny Paper Towels).... then it just gets irritating.

And like with the show.... we've all heard it before.

And Im just wondering.... who gives Family Ties a hard time?
I know I dont.
