Didn't Larry's mom seem to be a tad old? Larry mentioned he had an older married brother and a teenage sis,all when he was around 8 or so.Poor Mrs Mondello looked exhausted!

When I was 11 and my friend was 10, his mother was 52. I can't imagine Mrs. Mondello being any older than 55. In those days, 45-55 year old ladies looked like that. I thought she seemed to have a lot of stress, but she looked like a great mom!

She was probably about 50. If the daughter was teenage, that would put her in her 30s when she was born. If the first son is married, people usually married about 20. That would make her 30 when he was born. And if Larry was 10, it would put her at 40.
June was supposed to be in her 30s, and Ward was supposed to be in his 40s. |

Ward said in one episode he was born in 1918, and this was late fifties, early sixties. June was younger than Ward, so she must have been about 35-40.

Larry's parents got together when his mother was a dental nurse, taking out Mr. Mondello's cavities. On today's episode, Larry says, "If it wasn't for my father's cavities, I wouldn't be here."

In one episode, we saw him, but only his back turned toward the camera. Larry was talking to him. I couldn't tell if he was handsome or not. Another of LITB's great mysteries.
Larry's father is assumed to be of Italian heritage, because of the last name Mondello. I have a little Italian in me, too. I always thought Larry looked Irish or Scottish.

Mr. Mondello was shown very briefly in the "school play" episode. It always seems funny to me that they didn't ever feature him because Larry and his mom were so prominent. It was actually kind of a dysfunctional family with an absentee father who would "hit" Larry, the nervous mom, etc!

Larry's father could have been northern-Italian, giving him fair skin and blonde hair.
I am Italian, Portuguese, and Lithuanian, and I don't look one bit Italian. I take after my grandmother on my mothers side (Portuguese), who looks French. People always think I am French. What nationality is the last name Cleaver? I think it sounds Irish.
