Default 1995-98 Bulls vs 1999-02 Lakers

Which team would win a 7 game series. The 1995-96, 1996-97, 1997-98 Chicago Bulls, or the 1999-00, 2000-01, 2001-02 Los Angeles Lakers. Maybe they can clown Phil Jackson or just play without any coaches.

I think the 1995-96 Bulls is the best of those 3 Bulls teams, and the 1999-00 Lakers, are the best of those 3 Lakers team. More specifaclly, who would win a 7 game series between the 1995-96 Bull, and 1999-00 Lakers?

I think that Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, would almost cancel each other out. But MJ is better than Kobe and has the edge. Dennis Robman has the edge over Rick Fox in the rebounder defender category, the Lakers don't a player that score in the paint and on the perminator considently like Pippen. Maybe Kobe, but so can Jordan, then it is two aganst one. However, the x factor, the Bulls like everybody else can't stop Shaq. Steve Kerr and Robert Horry will cancel each other out when it comes to hitting clutch shots from a player that does not score much.

It is hard to pick aganst MJ, but it is hard to pick aganst Shaq, when he is motivated and healthy. Unless it is the Bill Russel Celtics, Russell is the only guy I could see, stoping Shaq.

After going through the matchups, I would pick the Lakers, because Shaq is unstopable, and Kobe could almost match Jordan.

Bulls because of Jordan but Lakers because of Kobe/Shaq!!
Like the 80's Celtics with Ainge/Bird/McHale/Parrish

The Celtics with Bill Walton, the year they went 40-1 at home would have beaten either one of those teams.

I don't see how the Bulls won those 6 championships that they did cause the bench they had was some scrubs. LOL@Cliff Levingston, Bobby Hansen, Will Perdue, Bill Wennington, Luc Longley. BJ Armstrong & Craig Hodges were good shooters & so was John Paxson. Phil Jackson is the same type of coach as Jerry Sloan. He never really had a lot to work with but he made the team play team ball & that's what it's about if u want to be successful. I know Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman, Toni Kukoc were the reasons why those championships were won but the rest of the team was sorry.

The quality of the opponent wasn't as good as in previous years.

The question should be, who would stop Larry Bird, Kevin Mchale, Robert Parish and Bill Walton? As far as stopping Shaq......one guy wouldn't have beaten that Celtic team. Such a big deal was made of Michael Jordan when he scored 63 points in a playoff game against Boston but people tend to forget.....Boston won that game.

What u talkin about the quality of the opponents back then wasn't that good? There were some good teams back then that the Bulls beat to win those championships. The reason why they were so successful is because they played as a team.
