Default Yelling "I HATE YOU!"

You know how alot of sisters yell to each other "I HATE YOU!". Well, how come the Tanners never say that to eachother? Of course, they get on eachothers nerves sometimes, but how come they never say stuff like I hate you?
My sisters say it to me alot, and it really is mean! Do most sisters do that, or not? Do the Tanners not say I hate you because people aren't allowed to put those words on G or PG shows?

They probably thought it would be harsh to have the sisters yell "I hate you"!

But they did have Nicky and Alex chant "We hate Michelle".

D.J. said it to Kimmy in "Tanner vs. Gibbler," but then, she's not her sister.

DJ also yelled "I hate you" to Danny in the episode where she neglects responsibilities of picking up Michelle from the Honey Bee meeting. And that's even worse because Danny is the parental figure to DJ.

Jen1989,

I couldn't agree more! You're ABSOLUTLY right!! I don't understand why parents slap their children if they say something they shouldn't. Violence isn't the way to settle fights, it just makes things worse.

And swedeace, when DJ told Danny she hates him, what did Danny do?

Yeah, I agree. Just look at "Silence is not Golden", even if a kid said wrong things, a parent shoulden´t slap him or she. Silence is not Golden is legendary because of that!

I can't think of it at this very moment. I would have to watch it again, but I believe right after she says that to Danny, she runs up the stairs and goes into her room.

I also agree that hitting children (or slapping, since that's considered "hitting") isn't the answer. Of course, kids must respect their elders, but that can be controlled by verbal communication.

That is the utmost disrespect to say "I hate you" to the person who took care of you and nurtured you. After I calmed down, I would probably apologize for it later (and so should the child), but my first reaction would be to slap them first, talk about it later.

They were the ideal perfect family. They'd never do that!

I don't understand why the critics say Full House was squeaky-clean or even compared them to the Brady Bunch. The Brady Bunch kids were a lot "cleaner" and got along better than the Tanners or Kimmy.

I mean, in The Brady Bunch, there was never an annoying character who would exchange insults with the adults. In Full House, that was present (Jesse and Danny with Kimmy, mostly). In The Brady Bunch, there was never a diary that Marcia kept where Jan or even Cindy snooped around to read. Or, was there?

Take a look at their slang and conversations they've talked in various episodes of The Brady Bunch. For instance, when the Brady kids got upset with one another, they would respond too nicely about it, in my opinion. In that season three race where DJ and Stephanie have to sit in their room till they got along, they pretended to like each other in front of Danny. On TBB, they made up almost too quickly.

That and plus, FH dealt more with real-life situations such as death and even dangerous driving. TBB never did that..... Critics can be wrong in their wording sometimes too often.

Cindy read Marcia's diary in the Shirley Temple episode, but only because she thought there was a conspiracy against her!
