Default Pregnancies not written into TV Shows

What actresses were pregnant in real life but their pregnancy was not written into their respective TV show/storyline?

Leah Remini
Lauren Lane
Susan St. James
Debra Messing

Mary Beth Evans from Days of Our Lives in the 80's - not a comedy but the woman was doing love scenes with Stephen Nichols while 9 months pegnant.

Who else?

On my left, I saw days upon days of lipstick and ticking clocks, dirty looks and quiet whisperings. And burning secrets that just won't ever die away. And on my right, what could I picture? The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.

Phylisha Rashad on "The Cosby Show"

Wasn't Dana Plato pregnant in the last season of Different Strokes? That certainly was not written in!

Elizabeth Mongomerys and Luccile Balls first pregnancies weren't written into "Bewitched" & "I Love Lucy"-because they weren't doing the shows at the time

but their 2nd ones were.

Barbera Edens wasn't for the first episodes of "I Dream of Jeannie"

Andrea Martins wasn't on "S.C.TV"

they masked Sarah Jessica Parker's pregnancy on season 5 of S&TC by abbreviating the season and putting her in loose clothes.

Phylicia Rashad was also pregnant in the third season of Cosby Show and they usually sent her away on business trips, and had her in bed a lot that season

Shelley Long on Cheers. She wore a lot of baggier clothes and at one point they put her in the floor..

Wasn't Kirstie Alley pregant at one point during the run of Cheers, too? I'm not sure about that one.

Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond was pregnant with 3 of her 4 children between 1996 and 1999 and the pregnancies weren't written into the show.

Frasier handles Jane Leeve's pregnancy in a clever way, instead of having her pregnant on the show, they had her dealing with weight gain, lol

The entire storyline of Sam and Rebecca having a baby together was based around Kirstie's pregnancy. But then she lost the baby, and the storyline ended (good for the show.... feel bad for Kirstie).

And they also considered having Diane being an unwed mother in Season 3.

It sucks that Kirstie lost the baby, but thank god Sam and Rebecca didn't have a baby together. That would have really sucked.

And about the Diane thing-- that would be cool. But only if Sam was the father.

That's why they DIDNT do it.
They knew for the long run that Frasier shouldn't have been the father (although they were a couple in Season 3).
And the obvious man to be the father would be Sam.
But when they thought of ("immature") Sam being a father.... they nixed the idea and we got Diane under the floor.... and having her sent off to Europe (ONLY because she was pregnant)

On The Nanny (I don't know if nayone's already posted this one) the actress that played Cici was pregnant but it wasn't written in for the character.

Yeah, that was Lauren Lane. I think that was one time where it was better that they didn't write it in. Because I don't know how C.C. could've gotten pregnant when Niles was always saying she never dated! LOL!

I think Annie Potts was another example on Designing Women. They had a plot line about Mary Jo going to a sperm bank to cover it, but then I think they never went anywhere with it.

Susan Saint James was pregnant on two episodes of "Kate & Allie". For one episode, since it was a halloween show, she wore a rabbit costume the entire episode. Then the next week they had her in bed with a broken leg for the entire show.

After watching "The Nanny" last night, I now have another one. During the 6th season, Rachel Chagall (Val) was obviously pregnant, but they just hid it rather than explaining it. (That's another character where it would've been tough to explain it! LOL!)
