Default Movies that you gave up on

Have you ever seen a movie that made you quit watching it before it finished? I know one movie that describes that experience. That movie is Braveheart. That is the most violent movie I have ever seen. I quit watching before an hour of it was even over. It was a good movie but I got repulsed by the violence. I'll probably give it a second shot but tell myself that the blood and violence and stuff is all fake. Maybe it will prepare me for The Passion of the Christ (another ultraviolent movie).

"Freddy Got Fingered." I walked out of the theatre about fifteen minutes in and got a refund. One of the most moronic films I've ever attempted to watch.

Rip Torn, what the hell were you thinking?

I almost gave up on Adaptation, but I kept watching because of Meryl Streep. I'm glad I did, because by the end of the movie I didn't end up hating it. I don't think it was the best movie (or even close to it) but it wasn't horrible. Though, I can't say I'd want to watch it again anytime soon.

What did you think of Spike Jonze's "Being John Malkovich?"

That's a movie I haven't gotten around to seeing yet. I have wanted to see it for a while now, so one of these days I will.

I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but I gave it a second chance and I loved it.

Incidentally, Spike Jonze is one of my favorite music video directors (along with Mark Romanek, who went on to direct "One Hour Photo")

I'll try to see it soon. I have a list of SO many movies I want to see. Maybe I would like Adaptation more if I watched it again.

Two movies come to mind for me. The first one is "Old Skool." I was hesitant about watching it from the very beginning, but decided to give it a try. After about 10 minutes though, I had to take the DVD out. That movie was way too filthy for my taste. The other one was "The English Patient." Iv'e said it before, and I'll say it again, I don't know how that movie won so many Oscars. That first hour had to have been one of the most boring hours of my life!

My roommate rents crappy movies. He tries to convince me they're good, but most of the time I last about fifteenminutes and then I say I'm going to check my E-mail.

Two or three hours later I come back into the living room.

well, Braveheart was violent, but it was based on a true story, so it's more of a realistic depiction. I think that is more acceptable than a slasher flick with shock value

I first thought the guy who played the burnt The English Patient was Freddy Kruger! I think Sling Blade should've recieved best picture that year.

I'm sick and tired of these low budget drug movies. Okay, Trainspotting was good. But movies like Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas and Requiem for a Dream were really dumb. The worst of them all is a movie called Spun. Who in the hell wants to watch a drugged out constipated teen- trying to take crap on the toilet. And why show the end result of her success? Meanwhile, her boyfriend is jerking himself off in the next room.

These drug movies are getting more idiotic every year.
