Default Favorite Sylvia moment

Sylvia has always been one of my favorite characters on TN, so I decided to make a thread about fave moments. I really love this line from The Wedding, "I just learned something. I cannot go tinkle with a raccoon watching." And after discovering Maggie and Micheal in bed together, she says, "I'll just wait in the kitchen," and Max responds, "Oh, well, there's a shocker!" And of course the line in my sig, which is from "The In-Law Who Came Forever."

Talking Sylvia

I like her, too! You won't believe but she reminds me of someone I met some time ago. lol

Anyway, I can't think of a good Sylvia quote right now but I liked how she reacts in the Wedding episode when Fran didn't appear at the ceremony. Sylvia's comment: "I will *kill* her!" lol I thought it was so typical Sylvia!!!

Okay, mine's from the wedding, too. I like the part where the minister guy said "peak now or forever hold your peace", she turns and gives everyone a Look. Hahaha, I love that!

I just thought of another great Sylvia moment from "Call Me Fran," when Fran says that she's going to move out of the mansion if Max won't make a commitment, and Sylvia says, "I'll cut out my tongue! That's not what I meant!!" OK, well, I probably did a really bad job of explaining that, but you guys know what I'm talking about LOL!

sylvia is definately one of the best characters on the show! hands freakin down!
sylvia actually reminds me a lot of my grandma.. the hair, the clothes, the big boobs and all the references to food describes my grandmother to a tee(which is funny because my grandma always said that she felt that she should be jewish! i totally agree after watching the nanny!)
i have so many fav quotes i cant even list them all! one of the all time favs is something along the lines of sylvia getting some shocking news and she basically collapses in a chair and is pointing to the coffe table. niles thinks she is pointing to the kleenex box and picks it up for her and she waves him off and points to the tray of chocolates instead!
i duno why but that cracks me up!

When she's on her diet and offers to take the cake back to the fridge. So she opens the fridge a bit, slams the fridge door, and runs upstairs. Love that everytime.

Also when she's ranting and raving about those lobsters shes eaten and it turns out she develops some red spots near her uh.....rack. lol I can't believe I said that. But yea, you all know what I mean haha.

Sitting on Max's desk is definitely a classic.

I watched my tape of "Hurricane Fran" last night, and I heard this line:

Sylvia:It's times like this you look up to God, and ask "Why? Why?"
Max:Now, Sylvia, it's nature. It's random. You can't question it.
Sylvia:No, I mean, why won't you marry my daughter already?!

BTW, Fran=Lucy, I LOVE your avatar! "Close Shave" is one of my favorite episodes.

I just watched "Take Back Your Mink," and I heard some classic Sylvia lines that I had forgotten about. After seeing Gracie's hamsters, "The kid collects vermin." LOL, the way she says that always cracks me up! And, "A mink is not an animal. It's a rodent. If it were up in the attic, you'd be the first one to call Terminex!" And when C.C. thinks Sylvia wants to be her friend:

C.C.:Why haven't we done lunch?!
Sylvia:'Cause when you saw me eat a chicken, you had to take an Advil!

Talking oy, Sylvia...

I remember one quote (don't know if it's really a quote) from episode "Yetta's Lettas" when she's dinning with Max and she's asking for the bill and she calls the waiter: "Farashaka, Farashaka" or something like that. Hahaha I love it!

LOL, she was doing "Frere Jacques," b/c that was the only French she knew. That's one of my fave season 6 episodes.

Haha! yeah, I knew I forgot something about that episode. I think that was way more funny than the "Frere Jacques" thing. I absolutely love Sylvia!
