I don't mind talking about Lisa Whelchel, I don't mind reading about
Lisa Whelchel, but can we lay low on the discussions about religion? I'm not comfortable talking or reading about religion. I realize that I've posted one or two posts about Lisa Whelchel being too religious. But since then, it appears to me, that is all we have been discussing, so all I'm asking is if we can lay low on the discussions concerning religion. Thank you for your time! |

I agree that religious talk on a sitcoms-dedicated board isn't exactly normal, but Lisa Whelchel's career in very interesting, and really...her books aren't about religion too much. Creative Corrections was more about family-type stuff, and punishment to children, etc.

Aren't there enough books on how to raise
or punish children? What makes this book any better then the rest? Just a thought! |

what makes it special? I dunno. But seeing that there ARE people out there reading it, it's gotta be somewhat good. You might wanna ask a book reviewer who's read it.

I don't think I'd be writing a book on how to raise kids either, but judging on how many kids are nowadays, SOME PARENTS can use such a book.

Any book that gives advice or tips on
how to raise or punish your child is just that, advice or tips. But, it's the parents' final choice. Not all parenting books are right. This next part is just my opinion and if anyone takes it the wrong way, I trully am sorry. If a parent needs a book on how to raise their child/children, what kind of a parent does that make him/her? Can't they control their child/children? If they can't, they turn to a parenting book? I'm not saying it makes the parents bad parents, but they should know the general knowledge of being a parent. That's all I can think of at the moment. Once again, if I made anyone upset, I trully am sorry! |
