Exclamation Lisa's Family 2

I just wanted to say that I personally find the idea of brainwashing ridiculous. I went to her site and I took Jesus into my heart. Do you want to know why? I had been offered the oppurtunity before and declined. Lisa's site allows you to choose a church, most people give you a list okay this church you're going to heaven, that one you're going to hell. Furthermore as she said spanking is not creative, but you know what it works. I was spanked, and I learned that no meant no, and that certain behavior was unacceptible. I have a large respect for Lisa, because she follows her beliefs. It was like when she refused to do an inappropriate episode. I take it the other way, I see that people can say no. She faced a lot more pier pressure than any of us do, if she successfully faced it then I can to. I'm Catholic, and felt completely respected by her sites message of Fatherly love. One more thing, her kids appear very secure; her twelve-year-old son still snuggles, not many twelve-year-old boys have that security. Spanking obviously has not screwed him up, and they are happy, that is what faith in the Lord brings, HAPPINESS.

Panda Bear,
I'm with you. I'm also quite sure that Lisa has been viciously rumored about. People just don't want to believe a former child star can get married have 3 children, a good husband & be sucessful. People would be more tuned in to Lisa if she was doing bad things.
Lisa is happily married with 3 kids. Kim has
her own studio. Nancy is on the Division. Mindy is okay to.So that goes to show not all
child actors travel the road less traveled.
I'm also Catholic.

I have to agree with you Panda Bear. Spanking is not really a bad thing. I've been spanked lots of times for all things I did wrong and the lesson you learn from is no means no. I'm also a Catholic and deeply religious.

I really admire Lisa for a lot of reasons, and just because I don't approve of everything she does doesn't mean that I'm going to judge her based upon that. And I am really glad that her life turned out so well. She's lucky. Now let's drop the subject, ok?

I also took Jesus into my heart on Lisa's site. I also have a great respect for her. How many famous people does anyone know that gives someone a chance to do that through their website? Lisa Whelchel is a wonderful person and will always be my favorite actress.

Ha ha...that reminds me- one of my mom's favorite Bible quotes is "Spare not the rod." I'm too old for a spanking now, but she (jokingly) dictates that quote to me.

Question

"I often wonder if religion is the enemy of God. It's almost like religion is what happens when the Spirit has left the building."

Care to guess who said that?

I think that Lisa is very cool to be able to be so open about her religious beliefs as they've helped her throughout her life. Nothing wrong with that. I admire it.

Richard Gere often promotes Buddhism, George Harrison is totally hooked on Hinduism...Nothing wrong with celebs helping promote their religions as long as they aren't shoving it down our throats by putting down other religions.
