MARCH 3, 1973
"The Devil And Peter Tork", Episode No. 52 of The Monkees (first aired on NBC February 5, 1968), was repeated @ 1:00 p.m. EST on ABC. MARCH 4, 1968 "Some Like It Lukewarm" (a.k.a. "The Band Contest") (prod. #4754) first aired @ 7:30 p.m. EST on NBC as the 56th episode of The Monkees. Sponsored by Yardley Of London™, this episode featured the songs “The Door Into Summer” written by Chip Douglas & Bill Martin, and “She Hangs Out” written by Jeff Barry; both produced by Chip Douglas. Trivia Footnote: It was the last original episode of The Monkees to be produced by Raybert Productions. MARCH 4, 1972 "Monkees Marooned", Episode No. 40 of The Monkees (first aired on NBC October 30, 1967), was repeated @ noon EST on CBS, with a new song added: "Do You Feel It Too," written by Jeff Barry and Andy Kim. MARCH 6, 1967 “Alias Micky Dolenz” (prod. #4726) first aired @ 7:30 p.m. EST on NBC as the 25th episode of The Monkees. The episode, sponsored by Glimmerick and Slicker by Yardley Of London™, showcased “Mary, Mary”, written & produced by Michael Nesmith, and “The Kind Of Girl I Could Love”, written by Michael Nesmith & Roger Atkins and produced by Michael Nesmith, as its featured songs. And these were the commercials originally shown this week: Oh De London Bath Collection by Yardley, Kellogg's Apple Jacks (with Wally Cox), Slickeringo by Yardley, and Glimmerick Eye Paint by Yardley. Trivia Footnote: “Alias Micky Dolenz”, ironically, aired 2 days before Micky Dolenz's 22nd birthday, on March 8, 1967...which, simultaneously, saw the release of “A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You” b/w ”The Girl I Knew Somewhere” as The Monkees' 3rd single (Colgems #1004). MARCH 6, 1971 "Monkees Marooned", Episode No. 40 of The Monkees (first aired on NBC October 30, 1967), was repeated @ noon EST on CBS, with a new song added: "Do You Feel It Too," written by Jeff Barry and Andy Kim. (And CBS would re-air this exact same episode almost a full year later!!!) |
