Default Goin to SF

Well in a week I leave for San Fran, I will be sure to tell the SFPD that you all say hello!! and I'll hunt down Teddy and reunite him with Jinny (sorry Hank) but when anyone was there, what did they do? I know I am going to Chinatown with my dad, and then to Alcatraz (w/e that Island is called..) and riding the trolly, maybe Ill stop by and see how the Tanner Family is doing any good shopping areas there?

Okay, if you're a chocolate freak like me, go to Ghirardelli Square. Yum ! Also, the Macy's there has seven or eight floors (if you're into shopping and all that) and the mall has a huge Nordstrom in it. Both sell products that I haven't found in Los Angeles (I'm shop-a-phobic, but loved the Macy's because of the great bed-room set I bought. LoL). Oh, and, if you do go into the mall on Union Square (that's where the Powell Street Trolley ends and turns around), say 'hi' to my cousin, Talin. She is the manager of the eatery there (it sounds like Sigafredo, but I know the spelling is absolutely off). Maybe you'll get some coffee and pastry for free. LoL.

There is a great music store called Virgin Mega-store, but it's a bit of a walk. And, mostly popular music, which is a downer. It's a huge store though. Plus, there are at least a hundred smaller stores (Louis Vuitton -- sp.? -- and, Gucci, for example) that are fun to go into. You should definitely do a couple of the tours. One of them being the Alcatraz one. Just make sure you choose the tour where actually get off on the Island, instead of just passing by it, as that happened to me by accident the first time around.

Visit Pier 39 -- always something fun happening there. Explore it a little.... There is also a Sacks Fifth Avenue and a Neiman and Marcus there, so, if you want to get ripped off, I'd highly suggest these places....

Anyway, with the group of people I went, we only did the boring shopping bit (honestly, I live in L.A. If I wanted to shop, I'd shop here...), but the tours that I dragged everyone on were great...especially, the Alcatraz one. Really brings everything into perspective when you first step on that Island.

Oh ! Make sure to stop by Frjtz Fries (only place that actually uses Nutella ! In Austria, I used to gulp down that stuff like water. It's a hazelnut chocolate spread...so good !) and Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop for dining.

Anyway, hope you'll have fun in San Francisco. I've only been there once and for just a couple of days, so I didn't get to see too much, but am hoping to go back over spring break to see everything else.

Also, don't walk alone at night in the down-town/Union Square area (where the malls are) and cabs are relatively cheap, so use 'em.
