yeah, I couldn't believe it either. It sounds a little suspicious to me. Maybe she's pregnant. Not very many girls get married these days when they're 17.

My parents IMOF were 18(Mom) & 20(Dad) but now people want to really wait because marriage is a one-time only thing and very sacred!!

but in those days (my parents were 21 and 22 when they married) people were mature and ready to settle down earlier. 18 in 1960 is comparable to 28 (or maybe even 30) in 2004.

I agree... my parents got married at 17/25, even both of my sisters were married at 20, now I find that absurd.
