What was the name of the movie, that inspired the series?

All I remember is, that Uncle Jesse died in the movie.

unless your thinking of some movie thats called

moonshiners or something.

Waylon Jennings The Balladeer

Cooter was C Pete Munro

Uncle Jesse was Auther Hunnicutt Uncle Jesse was killed in the movie.

Have you had any luck trying to find it for sale? I've tried many times and have always been told it's out of print. Showtime airs it sometimes, though.

No I haven`t been able to find it. I couldn`t even find anyone who had ever heard of the movie.
