Question Taxes... just a lil question..

Well, my Dad said to do your taxes with an EZ form is really easy. Yah, well, Im different and am totally lost. Anyways, I know this is probably like, the dumbest question ever, but here it goes. I went to the PO today to get the forms and the instruction booklet. I got the 1040 Form because thats the only one that looked like would work for me, and then I got the 1040EZ Instructions booklet. But there was also another 1040 instruction booklet.. 1040A or whatever.. there a difference between the two? Do I have the right one? Theres like 73 lines on this damn 1040 sheet and half of them I dont even know what they mean. *screams* Im gonna go to the website and see if I can get them done there easily. Looking at all these numbers and questions I dont even understand makes my head want to explode.

Ok, Im confused already (no surprise there). It asks if I was a student last year. I dunno if I was or not! Yes, I went to nail school last year but it was a small school (10 students only) and it was only for 10 weeks. Duh, I was obviously going to school and did get a diploma for it and stuff, but would a manicuring school count?

Ok.. another question..

Read this:

ADVANCE CHILD TAX CREDIT

The amount of your advance payment (before offset) is shown on Notice 1319. This notice was mailed to you in 2003. If you do not have this notice, you can check the amount of your advance payment (before offset) on the IRS website at www.irs.gov or call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.

That boxed was clicked once I filled out the W-2 form online.. what does it mean? I gave $$$ each week out of my paycheck to UnitedWay.. but is that what it means?

If you do not have a child or did not claim a child in 2003 then you skip this. This is only for people who make a certain amount of money and claimed a child/children on their taxes.

On my left, I saw days upon days of lipstick and ticking clocks, dirty looks and quiet whisperings. And burning secrets that just won't ever die away. And on my right, what could I picture? The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.

Don't say that I took Accounting in high school and had fun, but it's not a profession I would take up.
