Lightbulb First Day of Junior High

Comparing to how DJ's first day of junior high went, how was your first day of junior high?

I remember watching that episode back in 1989 a bit apprehensive the same thing would happen to me.

Junior high was a terrible experience for me. Junior high is when everyone seems to be divided by social status. I guess I was a geek because most of the "cool" people made fun of me. I hated junior high. I was so glad to get to high school.

I hated my first day of Junior high because people were staring at me, and I had some trouble with my locker. It was terrible!

When I started 6th grade, it was a nightmare. People were big and scary and I barely knew anyone there from my old school.

What I found over the years that junior high grades varies depending on the state. For instance, in the state of California (as the case in Full House), junior high began in the seventh grade (or age 12). Junior high here in my state begins in the sixth grade. It was really weird to start junior in the sixth grade while the DJ character started in the seventh grade. So we started junior high at the same time!

Yeah! That's right... I remember a while back there was a thread discussion about how each state has a cutoff date (is that the right word? I forgot! ), and California's happens to be in December.

When I started junior high, I was 11 1/2 years old. The cutoff month in my state is September, and I was born in December.
