I'm using my time off from work to get into M*A*S*H, a show I've never really given much of a chance.
On a whim, I bought the first two seasons on DVD and, so far, I haven't been disappointed. I think it's really great that I have the option of watching the episodes without that phony laugh track. And every time I watch the show, I think of TJL. He reminds me of Hawkeye quite a bit (or should it be the other way around?). Is there anything I can do to cure myself of M*A*S*Hitis, or am I infected for life? |

Don't fight it.
Give yourself to the dark side, AKA...

All day marathons are par for the course when I get the DVDs home from the store.
Any particular favorites from seasons 1 & 2? |

"Dear Dad" "Tuttle" (I love the gag during the end credits "Captain Jonathan S. Tuttle as Himself") "Sometimes You Hear The Bullet" "The Long-John Flap" "The Army-Navy Game" "Cease-Fire" "5 O'Clock Charlie" "Radar's Report" "For The Good Of The Outfit" "The Sniper" "Carry On, Hawkeye" "Hot Lips And Empty Arms" "Mail Call" "A Smattering Of Intelligence" I've been a fan of the movie for a long, long time. I wonder why it took me this long to get into the very successful sitcom it spawned. |

I just bought seasons 3, 4, and 5. I can't wait to watch these, as I haven't seen any of them (though I know what happens at the end of season 3
).

Good for you.
Lots of changes in seasons 3, 4 and 5. And not just in the names in the credits. |

I'm already 2/3 of the way through season three (the last episode I watched was "Bulletin Board"). Many stand-out episodes along the way, including "Rainbow Bridge," (love those Loudon Wainwright, III interludes) "Iron Guts Kelly," "O.R.," "Check-Up," "Alcoholics Unanimous," "There's Nothing Like A Nurse" (Loudon again), "Adam's Ribs," "A Full Rich Day," and "Bombed." So far, I'm liking this season even better than the previous two.

Even though I knew it was going to happen and had even seen a clip before of Radar telling the staff the horrible news, I still got choked up at the end of "Abyssinia, Henry."
I'm a big softie.

Yeah, I can't watch a few of those without being depressed for a week and crying whenever I think about it.
I'm getting back into M*A*S*H and I got my mother, who never got a chance to see it, to start watching . Once you start, you're stuck staying up until three A.M. to watch.

![]() It's so cool to be able to see these episodes uncut on DVD, too. Very depressing to see that 26-minute half-hour episodes have become less than 22 minutes. |
