the end of Friends/the end of Sex - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I have been a fan of both Friends and Sex And The City for years, and am sad that both shows are going (Sex ended last Sunday).

But am I the only person who has noticed a lot of similarities between the final seasons of each?

Monica and Chandler have been going through the adoption process/so have Charlotte and Harry

Phoebe and Mike got married on the street of NYC/so did Miranda and Steve

Rachel accepts a job offer in Paris/Carrie left to go to Paris with Aleksandr

Mr. Big goes to Paris and gets his girl back/I dunno any of the spoilers, but I really do bet that Ross will get his girl as well, either in Paris or before she leaves.

I doubt any of it was intentional, but it is kinda funny how similar many of the last episodes of two of my favorite comedies have been

I noticed that too.. very very weird. Like you, I doubt that it was planned.. I couldn't really see one show getting the script to the other and saying "Hey, that sounds good, we should do THAT!"

Another similarity, though it's not in the final season, is Miranda having a baby with her ex, and Rachel having a baby with her ex.

Now lets just hope they don't give one of the Friends stars cancer!!
