Yes. Very early in the series because he was still doing Moonlighting (also on ABC) at the time

I went to http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000246/ and Roseanne is not on it. But I think I've heard something of the like.

It wasn't really part of the episode. I beleive it was a surprise for Roseanne. Instead of Dan being in the scene they have Bruce Willis instead.
