There are some former NBA players turned team excutives in the league. Do you think that they do business diffrently with ex teammates than other GM's in the league?
For example, would Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Danny Aimge do business diffrently with each other than with other teams. Be more easier on their ex teammates. What about Isiah Thomas and Joe Domage? Are they easier on each other. It depends on the relationship when they were teammates. If Kobe and Shag are ever excutives, I don't think they would be easier on each other. If Rasheed Wallace is true to his word, and that is a big if. He will tell the Pistons he once to play on the Knicks and he is not coming back to the Pistons, and the Knicks are on the verge of signing Kurt Thomas to an extentsions. I think this summer the Knicks will do a sign and trade with Detroit, the Knick will get Wallace and the Pistons will get K. Thomas and Motomobo, and maybe a third player that makes very little money. Kurt Thomas is a good player, that other teams are interested with and were trying to get from the Knicks this season. If the Pistons have no use for Thomas, they can trade him and get a lot from another team. And Motomobo will be on the last year of his contract next season, and a players on the last year on their contract is valueable to teams that would be looking to unload players next year to clear salary cap room for 2005 free agents, like the Hawks and Suns did this season. And I. Thomas and Domage are ex teammates. Maybe they can do business. |

Here are more of my thoughts about the possible Wallace for Kurt Thomas deal this summer. I said that Knicks might have to throw in a third player that makes very little money to make this deal work, depending on how much money Wallace gets. I think the third player could be Frank Williams.
If this deal happens, the Knicks would be able to use part of the mid level exeption to get Michael Doleac back. |
