Default Amy Yasbeck and Jason Ritter should.......

I really think Amy Yasbeck and Jason Ritter and Stella should be in the season Finaly this year. It'll be really nice. They won't (probably) have a studio audience probably it's all a tribute. Stella has school, Jason has Joan of Arcadia and Amy....well I really don't know.

Why won't Amy be on 8 Simple Rules? Probably Jason will. He alrady been there after his's father died. But JOA tapes Mondays-Saturdays and I don't think he would be in 8sR. Cause 8 Simple Rules tapes Fridays and he's still on the set of JOA. But that's my idea for the 2 last episodes of this season. Even though Paul (John Ritter) died in this 2nd year of 8 Simple Rules.

Stella is only five years old, and I don't think she should be forced into something like that at this age. She really doesn't have the whereabout to make a decision like that. Jason did a movie at the age of ten, and his star is on the rise, but that was a different time, with two parents who were acting, and were able to help him make that decision. I don't think Stella should make an appearence, unless her mother felt 100% sure that was the right thing to do.

Amy has two projects she's involved with, as well as being a single parent. She is probably way too busy to do any kind of guest appearence, but it would be great if she could somewhere down the road.

Jason is busy with 'Joan of Arcadia' and an upcoming movie. He's probably too busy as well, but it would be nice if he could make a cameo, probably a flashback scene or a dream sequence. It seems that the whole family have been very supportive, and maybe when they have a little more time on their hands a guest appearance would be great.

Talking Jason..

I think it would be nice to see Jason appear in flashback scenes as Paul in his twenties, & they could show how Paul & Cate met and fell in love!

That would be nice, but I'm curious, who do you think should play Cate in those sequences?

Talking Hi!

I'm not sure who would be good playing a young Cate, but was thinking someone like Donna from "That 70s Show", who is tall, and has a distinctive voice! They could have the flashback scenes set when they meet in college in '79 or something! I could picture Jason wearing the same style clothes his dad wore from Three's Company in the flashback scenes!

That's not someone I had considered, but, yeah, put a wig on Laura Prepon ('Donna' from "That 70's Show) and she'd be perfect as a young Cate.
