Default Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights

This movie opened in theatres today. Has anyone seen it yet? Is it as good as the original?

I haven't seen it yet but it looks really bad. It's way too late to be making a sequel to this now.

To clarify something: This movie is NOT a sequel of the original DD and it has no intentions of trying to be. If it was a sequel they would've used the same actors but with a different story line (ej Home Alone, MY girl).
If I had the chance I would go see it even though the actors are unknowns and the chemistry between them is not the same as the original DD either.

not completely true there was a Home Alone sequel that didn't have Maculay (sp?) in it.

That was the 3rd one because he was turning into a man and wasn't the cute little boy anymore. But back on subject, this movie is not intended to be seen as a copy of DD anyone remembers when 'SALSA' came out? Probably this movie will resemble it more than it does DD

I thought the Home Alone without Macauley was a waste. By NOT putting him, older, in Home Alone 3 and what else was to come, then it was defying the old SNL and In Living Color skits about "Home Alone and 40", lol

I don't know how much of this is true but the movie is actually a PREQUEL. It's set BEFORE the events of the first movie.

Patrick Swayze does reprise his character (who appears in the movie).
