Thumbs up Wings had a great looking cast

Every one of them was talented, but I think Wings has to have one of the best looking casts ever assembled on one show.

The guys had it going on.
Joe is off the charts handsome to me.
Brian, adorable with that mischievous way, and that twinkle in his eye. Great physique.
Lowell, incredible face and build.
Antonio, with a sweet endearing charm that made him so cute.
Roy, believe it or not, I like his looks. Strong features, tall.

The ladies were all gorgeous.
Helen, those dimples...a living doll.
Fay, graceful elegance.
Alex, hot as hell.
Casey, a classic beauty.

Unfortunately, the cast's good looks worked against them as far as some people taking the series seriously.....

I've heard and read several negative comments where people who dislike the series complain that the actors were neither talented nor funny, but simply a bunch of "pretty boys" and "model-types" who were on the show simply to provide "eye candy".

Of course, I personally disagree with that, and those complainers are probably just jealous....after all, I suspect that my co-workers make those same "pretty boy" and "eye candy" comments about ME!

Thomas Haden Church was never 'hunky' like Tim Daly or Steven Weber and neither was Tony Shalhoub, but they both had character and some find that attractive, obviously.

As for Thomas, over the years in his shirtless or semi-nude scenes, he's been getting more muscular, because I remember on "Wings" where he had no muscle mass in his arms.
Of course, I WOULD notice!

Yes Ange, and do you know HOW Thomas' arms became so muscular? From lifting and carrying those big, heavy mailbags of fan letters from YOU!

To be truthful, I've never sent him any fanmail. I have his newest address, but I'm just not bold enough to write him.

Probably just jealousy, or they're not smart enough to think of other reasons why they hate the show. I remember reading a few comments from people at another site who never watched the show, but hated it because the critics hated it. (These same people criticized me for loving Wings.) If that isn't a stupid and narrow-minded reason to dislike a show, then I don't know what is.

Thomas got his muscles from all of the fan mail that I have sent him. If you watch some of his movies he can look pretty cute. As Lowell he is just adorable.

Why is it that the only time that you reply is when you want to compete with me? There are things beyond Thomas Haden Church besides being 'adorable' and 'cuuuuuute'. I have watched many of his films and I know how he looks and acts. You reply to my posts as if I haven't seen any of his films! You think I'm just a clueless Lowell-lover. Let me tell ya something, baby, I'm 100% All-Thomas Haden Church fan and I've seen almost every piece of his work now. I tend to hang around the 'Wings' fans here because at least they know what I'm trying to say when I speak of Mr. Church and reply to me with some intelligence. They don't act full of sh*t and reply with the sudden superficiality that you do (Gee... mrsthomashadenchurch... what an OBVIOUS fangirl name. At least I'm not trying to claim that he's MY guy, because I know that he's NOT. It's obvious that you're so jaded by your infatuation with his image that you think that you are married to him. Gee, I don't see anyone here calling themselves mrstimdaly or mrsstevenweber, probably because they're properly balanced fans).
I think you're just trying to make me back down and totally turn myself off to Mr. Church so you can hijack my space as a Thomas Haden Church fan. It isn't going to happen anytime soon.
To tell you the truth, I'm beyond the point of worrying about fan letters, signed photos and giggily superficial fangirl crap (although once in a while I still get a little bit flighty over him) I'm at the point in my fandom where I'm more in depth with Mr. Church's acting than his outer looks. 'Wings' was just the launch point of his career, if anything, I'd like to see him break out from the Lowell stigma soon with the advent of the supposed-to-be-popular-movie Sideways. I'd love to see him at an event where he wears the Lowell outfit and then tears it off to make a statement that he wants to be known for his work in 'Wings', which he can't seem to pull away from.
This same thing has happened to other stars, such as Jaeel White, who's having trouble with work beyond bit parts because he's been stigmatized as Urkel (and as of which, he's a damn good cartoon voice-over actor!).

Now that I'm done with my ranting, I'd like to say that I know your trolling game. You know that I've been weak in the past and you want me to weaken more to your power and continue to tell you: "Oh, MrsTHC, you're the #1 Thomas Haden Church Fan! You live up to your internet nickname and you'll outdo me, yes you will! I'll just move on from the one actor who inspires me powerfully so you can have your way and be the biggest, most respected fan on the internet!". Sorry, but I've been duped by you way too many times to count and like I've said, you only reply to me when I mention something like "I haven't written to Thomas because..." and contradict it by proverbially hitting me over the head and teasing me with your "Ha! Ha! I'm better than yooou, I did it fiiiiirst!" thing. Let me tell you, after three years, I'm sick of it.
What you are is a troll. You're not helping me at all by coming here because after a while I caught on to your pattern. So we clashed and we should have left it at that. I don't need to be taking any of this because I've got better things to worry about besides striking up a fight with you.

As for the regulars, sorry about this, guys! Hopefully the post will be locked soon if this subject worsens. I kinda feel like I've been getting away with too much on here lately.

What Thomas Haden Church does is beyond acting. It's magic...

1st of all I was not replying to your post! I am not a troll. I do not reply to your e-mails. I have had plenty of posts on this board that have nothing to do with you or your e-mails. The last one had nothing to do with you. After all you are the one who wrote that you have his address but do not have the guts to write him. So other people do have the guts to do something. Maybe some people like to write to their favorite person and tell them that they liked a movie or something that they did. It seems like anything I post you take offence to, but that is not going to make me stop posting. I can't help what you think. I am not trying to do anything. After all I was not the one who lied. I HAVE NEVER CLAIMED, SAID, or WROTE THAT I WAS HIS #1 FAN so put that on the person who has, YOU (I have never done this- you wrote -“you want me to weaken more to your power and continue to tell you: "Oh, MrsTHC, you're the #1 Thomas Haden Church Fan! You live up to your internet nickname and you'll outdo me, yes you will!”) I can’t help what you feel, but do not write lies like that one. You kept saying that you where the one who knew all about him like you have, and claimed that you owned all the photos that are posted on the internet. Lied about other things that I won’t get into. I do look at more than his outer beauty. I have seen and own most of his films and TV shows. I think he is one of the greatest actors out there and that is a shame that no one sees that.

I was not the one who kept claiming that they were not a Lowell fan and then attacked other people for beginning one and at the same time having a Lowell (In an Orange Hat) club. What changed your mind about what type of fan of Lowell that you are?

I do not think that I am married to him. It was a thing that a friend dared me to do because she did not think that I would do it. This is not the only group where people have an e-mail address like that.

Just remember who started this whole thing. You have never like me from the beginning and have had these attacking emails since day 1. I am not the one who joined someone’s group and made myself co-moderator without telling the person. By the way have your groups been active in the last 2 years (if you even have any member left). I don't think that you like that there was another fan of THC and that’s why you don't like me. So don't you act all innocent. Lets be honest, you are only being nice here because there are a lot more people here that you don't want to offend and most of them are not THC fans like you. If they only knew how you where before on other boards and attacked other people the way you have attacked me.

If you think that I am playing a game or what ever. You need to get a life and quit worrying about every little thing and taking things out of context. You just take things way to seriously. Need to loosen up. I think someone else on this board told you to do that to. You are the one who worsens it because you take things to seriously. Quit looking for sympathy and acting like you are the victim here. I hope all of the members here can see right through you and see that you are only trying to get attention. I always get these kinds of notes when AngeFaitore sees one of my posts. I am not the one who starts the fights, you are (since day one). I am not the one who has bad mouth about someone on the internet either, like you have.

Sorry members, hopefully AngeFaitore will loosen up and quit these types of e-mails.

OH PAH-LEEZE, troll! First of all, these AREN'T E-MAILS! THEY ARE FORUM POSTS!
Second of all, get over the whole Yahoo! Groups thing. What you are is called a troll when you do this! TROLL!
Yes, I may have once had IN AN ORANGE HAT, but that's in the past. I HAVE MOVED ON.
Yes, you did reply to my post, you just didn't quote it, per sey.
Also, you do seem to give off that "I'm better than you" attitude. I have been loosening up. I just think it has to be made apparent that you ARE a troll and the only time you seem to come around is when you have to make it clear that you have or have done something that don't have or I haven't done...

I guess trying to reach an agreement with you is just a losing battle. No matter WHAT I say to you, you'll just go back to that damn "In An Orange Hat" and "Ohhh! You only like Lowell Mather, you aren't a Thomas fan because you were too rude to meeee!" defense because you don't know anything else about me beyond it. You haven't really been paying attention to all my discussions. Search through the archives a bit before judging, please. It's your version of "Chewbacca Defense" (if you watch old episodes of South Park, you might get this ref) to move away from the real problem at hand. Sorry, but after a while, the 'In An Orange Hat Defense' doesn't work anymore. I don't really give a care what you have to say, either, because it's turning into a bunch of wordy gobbily-gook without any backup.
I can see that you're either just trying to get your way or trying to tease me.
Get the hell off of the Sitcoms Online forums if you're going to be like that and go back to that stupid Yahoo Groups or wherever the hell you hang out, because you're just breaking up our normal discussions.
As for me, I don't need other giggly female THC fans hanging around me in a stupid group and posting lame discussions to know my status as a fan (BTW, my groups have been deleted for a looooong time. I don't know why you're dwelling on them, I haven't been to Yahoo Groups in forever).

Thomas is my inspiration. I'll still be a loyal fan even after my crush has ended because he gives me a drive to do what I love: Write.
I don't know what he is to you to because you tip-toe around anything displaying with emotion and just rely on the old, rehashed facts.

Please, tell me what you think about Thomas, not me, really discuss Thomas with me and then maybe I'll change my mind about you. Don't continue with the crap you posted above. If you want to say you're a Thomas fan to me, than show it, critique him and actually talk about what he does, don't talk about ME. Talk about HIM for a change, Mrs. Thomas Haden Church! That's what we do here, talk about the actors and what they do! Not ourselves! That's the whole concept!
You'd know that if you were a regular here. I only ever see you post here about once or twice during the year and usually it's a razz to me and then when I try to exploit you for what you're doing, you back down and blame me for EVERYTHING and say you did nothing. You do have a hand in this problem, too, you realize. It takes two to start an arguement. I know I could be an ass in the past. I still am an ass sometimes, but that's just the way I am.

Let's really talk about THC for a change.

I'd like to start off with my opinion on Thomas.

Thomas Haden Church is an excellent actor. "Wings" was a great platform to launch for him and develop a skill and personae. This changed further with movies like "Tombstone" and "Demon Knight". I can understand why he wanted to leave "Wings" behind for "Ned and Stacey", he needed to branch out into other character personalities for new experience. After "Ned and Stacey" and "George of the Jungle", his career suddenly became weak with such quirky movies as "Free Money", "Mr. Murder" and sad excuses for films like "Goosed" and "Susan's Plan". After that came his spectacular career re-invention with such movies as "The Specials", the lackluster "3000 Miles to Graceland", his moving role as David Hardwick, gay brother to Darl in "The Badge", the wacky trip "Lone Star State of Mind" and excellent guest apperences on "Going to California", "Lucky" and most recently, "Teen Titans".

Please, tell me what you think of him.

Well, I never thought that I would see it on this forum, but I have.....

A real hair-pulling, face-scratching cat-fight between two devoted female Thomas Haden Church fans!

Wow, drag out the wading pool filled with Jell-O, hand me a bag of popcorn and let the games begin!

(Sorry ladies, but your heated exchanges just brought out the "Roy Biggins" in me!)

I am not the troll because if you go back into the archives you will see that I have many other post that do not follow you. I do not feel the need to make a comment on every subject. If I were a troll I would have
e-mails following all of yours, which I do not. You are a troll because you feel the need to follow with these e-mails when you see that I have posted. I have been on this forum longer than you have, so get over it. If that is what you call loosening up, then you have a long way to go girl.

I have been reading the posts or how else would I know that someone else has told you not to take things so seriously. It is not gobbily-gook but I do have things to back it up with. You are the one that needs to "get the hell off the Sitcom group" because if you bother to read the post you would see that it is not all about you. I am not like that. The only time I am like that is when YOU come out with your attacking e-mails like these 2. I am not the one breaking normal discussions, I post to what the topic is (“Wings had a great looking cast”) and you are the one who goes off on one of you tantrums and gets everyone off topic. Say things like “Oh I you are not a loyal THC fan”. You I never said that. My post stick to the topic at hand. If you want to leave go ahead, But You will NEVER tell me what to do and I will stay on this forum for as long as I want.

I have not been dwelling on the Yahoo Groups and you might want to learn how to delete a group because just ignoring them does not mean that they are deleted. They are not deleted and still there. If you actually were a loyal reader of the group you would see that I do post and not just twice a year. The only time I write like this is because when you feel the need to write e-mails like this. I have never said that I did nothing, but you claim I have done stuff that I have not. I do talk about THC, but seams (broken record) when you see a post of mine you don’t like, and then you feel the need to discuss something other than the topic. Until you can prove that these kinds of e-mails will stop why would I discuss him with you?
